A couple hours later and the pair were both in a dark forest. By this point the rain outside had stopped, or at least it didn't reach this place. The Moon shined brightly. Although the tall and overbearing trees blocked out most of it's light. So rather than white glowing light emitting the area around Zaverak and Theondume, it was yellow light coming from the torches set up. There were 20 torches set in a wide circle, and to the right of each one was a Val cultist.

These cultists were the personal disciples of Zaverak. Each knew far beyond what the regular mind did, and each knew the practice of Valist power. And so a large circle had been formed, at the same spot in which Jack of Danelaw was resurrected. Evident by the scarring and dead grass on the ground.

Zaverak looked at the display with pride etched in his heart and face. And he moved forward with the Book of Val in his hands. And as he moved each cultist bowed down. Theondume noticed that the back of each Cultist's hand the Symbol of Val had been carved fresh. He could smell the blood from where he was. And not long after Theondume noted tis Zaverak had stopped. As he was now right in front of the center of the circle. He opened the book, and began reading.

Immediately the other Cultists began chanting as well. The words and phrases they spoke were important, and could be sensed by their voices. They spoke in a language Theondume was not familiar with. But one only these Cultists and the First Servant knew. It was the word of Val.

As the chanting continued the fire from the torches grew brighter and rose. It turned from a glowing yellow to a blazing purple. The Moon grew a dark crimson red. The world around Theondume and the Cultists grew darker, colder, and bitter. A purple fire formed around them in front of Theondume. The Cultists sped up their chanting. And the fire rose high, the blood red Moon shined intently upon them, the rest of the world grew to nothing. To this spot in the forest, to this forest itself, nothing else mattered. And finally a burning blue beam from the ground ascended as a dark red beam from the sky descended.

They met at that moment, and formed a dark violet color. From this one could see starts, planets, the galaxy itself. It looked like an opening in the universe. But as quickly as the beam came it went. All fires burned out immediately, and the Moon's blood color was drained like an apple of its color. Finally Izeval was here.

The chanting stopped and Zaverak bowed before him. "My Lord," he stated. Izeval looked down upon his First Servant, and spoke. Immediately Theondume could hear the power boom from his voice, he could sense the order his presence brought. His voice was both chilling and oddly relaxing. "First Servant of Val, why have you summoned my being into your realm of existence?"

Zaverak gestured to Theondume, and replied: "My Lord a being of similar essence to yourself wishes to discuss matters with you. Ones that are far above the Valsoran plane of existence."

And with that Izeval looked up and met eyes with Theondume.

Theondume grinned in excitement, and held out his right hand, where a scar rested comfortably on his palm. Shake my hand and come with me, Lord Izeval.
