Do you already have a nation in the AA, or no?

Digory Kirke wrote:Do you already have a nation in the AA, or no?

Yes I do, but I wanted to be able to directly participate in the region. I am a big fan of Narnia, so when I heard that a region based on the books I love so much existed, I couldn't wait to check it out.

Are you on the AA discord?

Yes, sir. I'll contact you now.

So, to you folks who voted for the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, let me present my argument for why A Horse And His Boy is the best book in the series: It's a great allegory about salvation, which was undoubtedly Lewis' purpose in this series. I'm especially fond of this message. That aside, the events in the book all have a purpose, the characters are well-developed, yet flawed, and the ending is realistic (as much as it can be for a fantasy novel). I'd argue that it's the best book in the series.

Hi there, WA Delegate from Lands End here. On my reasoning of saying I have not read them yet, I have not read them all. I was impressed with the ones I have read, seems like a very good series. Considering I haven't read them all though, I will not choose a favorite.

You make a good point but when I first read it I didn't like how it took place in the world of Narnia but not Narnia itself. I understand now that that is bias of a thought but it still has felt weird to me. At the same time I think part of why The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is my favorite is becuse it was the first book I read and the first movie I watched. And yes I know the books are most likely better then the 3 movies.

Greetings from Conch Kingdom.

In regards to the poll, I hardly remember the books as it's been so long since I've read any of them, but I do remember that I absolutely loved "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" the most.

I understand the whole nostalgia thing, that's part of it for me and A Horse and His Boy as well. However, I like how he went on a tangent from the classical chronology, much like he did in The Magician's Nephew (to an extent). It refreshes one from the constant flow of the rest of the series.

Hello all! My nation's name is Bisim. I've been on this site for about seven years now and I've been involved to various extents in pretty much every Narnia themed region, going back to the Council of Narnia days. While I may not be the most active player these days, I'm excited to see what is developing here.

As for the poll, I've felt my allegiances shifting over the years. I've always considered VDT to be my favorite, and I voted for it. I loved the episodic nature of the book, traveling from island to island. I was crushed when that movie didn't live up to my hopes- my dream is that it's turned into a TV/Netflix mini series.

Outside of that, The Horse and His Boy has been riding up as my second favorite (haha get it?). I've always appreciated the focus on growth and discovery, and the unique perspective into the world of Narnia. (sorry that is got ramble-y).

I agree with the A Horse and His Boy idea. It allowed the reader to explore a different part of Narnia than the other books, as well as giving us a little window into what the Pevensies were doing around that time.

BTW, I like your nation name. Bism was always my favorite place in The Silver Chair.

Welcome to all our newcomers! Especially Bisim, who seems to have come from a different Narnian region. Glad to see you all here!

Why do you create so many regions.

But are they actually ancient lands? Something makes me say no.

To be fair, August wasn't planning on a fifth region. But the offer of "Narnia" was simply to good to be passed up.

Thank you! In all honesty, I made the nation a long time ago, and just misspelled, "Bism" but here we are haha.
