Philosophical Health Check - Analysis 2

As you've probably already figured out, the Philosophical Health Test has identified no tensions in your beliefs. 3% of the people who have completed this activity to date similarly have no tensions in their beliefs.

I feel kinda conflicted about that. If I am lacking tension in my beliefs, does that mean I'm insufficiently self-reflective? Or does it mean that all those years thinking about my moral stance and worldview have given me clarity?

Edit:
And wow, my wife just scored 47%. So she is full of clashing beliefs, while I have a near psychopathic level of absolute moral certainty. Does that make us more compatible or less compatible?
She does, however, believe that she doesn't really know what she believes, a lot of the time.

I just took the Philosophy Health Check. I got a 27% clashing beliefs, which is exactly the same as the average human being (is it reassuring to be average in this... I'm not sure).

The test picked up four clashing beliefs, but I actually I question that.

On some questions, I really needed a "Maybe" option, because I genuinely don't know -- not through lack of introspection or consideration of my beliefs, but because I just don't have the answers.

I think it's a design flaw to force people to express a strong opinion they lack.

My love of testing remains undiminished :p

Just some high-stakes puppet trades. Take a card no one has, offer to sell it for the amount you want from a puppet deck, and then submit a buy from a puppet.

Honestly at this point the NSCards is pointless to play. Decks aren’t received regularly and when decks are received the chance of good cards is low. Buying good cards is near impossible since prices are jacked-up so high only a handful of nations can afford them. Talk about a real life simulation...

Legendaries' prices seem to be inflating over time.

The primary purpose of that sale was to generate more copies of that card. Because that nation has CTE'd, a new copy of that card can be found in a pack only when an auction for that card is taking place. Because that card is Legendary, the chances of generating a copy are incredibly small, necessitating the opening of many card packs during the auction to increase the chances of obtaining the card. Therefore, players will save up large numbers of unopened card packs to open during an auction in the hopes of obtaining that most rare and valuable card.

Though Northern Lights bidding 1000 on it is interesting, as if anyone lucks into a copy they could cash in...

Looking at that nation's collection though, I can see that's an entirely sincere bid...

Yup, it happens. I was pretty active during the initial card event so I had some "rare" legendaries. I put on my "Sionis Prioratus" for the hypothetical price of 240 expecting a realistic counter offer of about 24......lo and behold someone actually paid the asking price. Some people are simply mining cards and either get the cards they need and discard the rest for cash through puppets. I can't blame them. The "game" allows it.

So who's going on vacation for the summer? In other words, are you probably going to CTE?

Tercania islands wrote:So who's going on vacation for the summer? In other words, are you probably going to CTE?

I'm going to be in Ontario for August. And also the rest of the year until June. So I'll probably CTE, since internet is going to be sparse, but I'll try to not.

I didn't get any political compass telegram...
It remains unchanged from last time, but technically, I'm more left than previously.
Choose as you will; i'm politically dumb in the end

Whelp, interview over. We deviated several times from the questions script, to share war stories and a couple laughs. That's a good sign maybe...

Plus, Her Majesty's loyal expats put a pub right down the street and they serve Yankee traitors!

I am glad that your interview went well!

Hey, those limey bastards burned down the original White House decades after the American Revolution. They should be giving you free beer! I have not forgotten that and will never forget it!

Also, those robots look neat! When do the robots that exterminate ennui come out?

There's a red Make America Great Britain Again hat prominently displayed at the bar.

Also, Blame Canada.

All around the forests, where the damn deer haven't destroyed them with their grazing, the trilliums are blooming, which are absolutely beautiful native flowers of North America (and a few species in Japan and East Asia). The ones that are really prolific in the woods around me are the Trillium Undulatum, or Painted Trilliums. They blend in very well with the dark forest floor, and seeing one is like coming across a little crystal or gem thrown on the forest floor. When they aren't wiped out by the overpopulation of deer, they eventually spread in the thousands across the highly-acidic humus and moss in these upland forests.

Beautiful picture with some info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trillium_undulatum

Life is so much better in the hinterland than in the big city. Bye-bye NYC, see ya, maybe...probably not. I only wish now that I could actually go live in the woods, instead of being in a town.

The sign is understandable given the problem we have been having with our executive branch. However, the general who led those troops was Irish so I am not blaming Canada!

Nice flower! I am glad to see that another member of its genus graces the land in temperate parts of the West! NYC is particularly unpleasant among large cities so I certainly hope that you do not have to go back!

Nice idea, that political quiz. I scored so far left and libertarian I’m hardly on the chart at all (and not surprised).

Aside from the litter box use, my dog and my cat are almost indistinguishable in behavior. That’s what happens when lifelong cat lovers adopt a dog - it gets catified.

I heard Orville is getting a new season. I’m happy and somewhat surprised. I was under the impression that season 2 didn’t get the ratings the network was hoping for and a lot of people were saying it was going to get canceled. Obviously that was speculation, because season 3 is confirmed.

Random fact of the day:

French engineer Gustave Eiffel originally intended his famous tower to be built in Barcelona, but the radical design was deemed too unsightly for the city – so he had to pitch his idea elsewhere.

I am excited about that and am also looking forward to the Picard show!

Random question of the day:

Would Eiffel 65 still have that name if the people of Barcelona had embraced Eiffel's skeleton of a tower? I do not see why not since Eiffel 65 is Italian.
