The Grand Republic of Lycanberg is a titanic, safe nation, ruled by Wes Allen with a fair hand, and renowned for its compulsory military service, keen interest in outer space, and zero percent divorce rate. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic, devout population of 23.756 billion Lycanbergians are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

The medium-sized, outspoken government prioritizes Defense, although Spirituality, Industry, and Education are also considered important. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Cervantes. The average income tax rate is 38.2%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The all-consuming Lycanbergian economy, worth a remarkable 2,946 trillion Bills a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Book Publishing industry, with major contributions from Arms Manufacturing, Information Technology, and Tourism. Average income is an impressive 124,021 Bills, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.6 times as much as the poorest.

The jackhammer is considered a tool of artistic criticism, citizens are less concerned with policy and more concerned with whether politicians "call 'em like they see 'em", Wes Allen's media campaigns take a hiatus around exam week, and sex-ed is child's play. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown. Lycanberg's national animal is the Chanticleer, which is also the nation's favorite main course.

Lycanberg is ranked 155,829th in the world and 6,713th in Balder for Most Corrupt Governments, with 3.47 kickbacks per hour.
