Wetwang on the wolds

Can't a body have a few days holiday without coming back to this.
What a fine carry on it is. Ted would never be living with Mimi - for goodness sake they are related, so that's blown that out of the water. And we all know that Mimi is safely locked up - don't we?

With regard to the demands of money, I'm afraid I have no intentions of paying money grabbers inc. one penny piece. If they have Ted in their keeping, thats the thing - keep him. There's no money to be had from me - grandad has short arms and deep pockets, so that's that.

As for the state Tuctuc, it would be nice if it was returned, but in the meantime we have the use of Mr Honnys mobile chicken hut, which we have painted in our state colour of purple with a lime green go faster stripe. That'll do us for now.

Are Ted and Mimi related? There's only one road on and off the and it's south of the Dartford Crossing so we should be safe from them.

Wetwang on the wolds

Yes Nappy, Mimi and Ted are 3rd cousins 6 times removed. So we don't want none of that there here. No folks with 6 fingers and toes thankyou very much.

That's actually far enough out that it's not a problem unless the family tree is a braided ficus.

Wetwang on the wolds

We don't have any relative relationships here thank you very much - however far removed they are - we might end up with another MImi, heaven forbid.

When do you consider someone to no longer be related? After all, with the exception of the odd uncontacted tribe we are all descended from all the same people when you go back an estimated 5,000-15,000 years (what geneticists call the identicle ancestors point)

The mejobsworth

Good grief, does that mean I could be related to George Galloway??

Wetwang on the wolds

Maybe Jobby - just maybe :)

You are. The only question is how closely. To make you feel even worse, I read once that out of the pool of Americans whose families have been in this country for at least a century, most are no more distantly related than eighth cousins. I presume that since the last of my ancestors arrived on these shores in the early 1880s from what is now Slovakia, and most having arrived in the 1700s, with a few arriving as early as the 1640s, that this is even more likely for me, and probably for those of you that hail from Jórvik as well.

Wetwang on the wolds

OMG now it's getting serious - thats not really why we are here :)

Beerbellied missourian ambassadors

I have this problem called link addiction. I get on the Internet to research medieval polearms and end up reading every English-language page on Ingria.

South yorkshire

Very interesting but stupid. Beerbelly old chap, I have a cousin twice removed, well three times if you count the time he was drunk. Here in Yorkshire we tend to concentrate on the job in hand and not get sidetracked by some link or other.

The mejobsworth

I probably agree with you Yorky lad, getting too deep into the origins of relations is not what we really do here in Yorkshire. What worries us is the prolonged absence of Ted, the Tuc Tuc and this talk of Mimi!!!

Jobby, where is your canoe - I seem to remember that was the location of the TucTuc if our solicitor friend is to be trusted?

Eeeeh that granddad - he does make me vexed. And that Marjorie is no better than she ought to be.

Grandma (there's no one quite like me)

Have they been dallying again?

Wetwang on the wolds

They have - they must think I'm daft, but I'll have me day!

All quiet on the western front!

Beerbellied missourian ambassadors

The cold has moved in. High of 1C today, and that's about as high as she goes for the next week.

Wetwang on the wolds

It's not going to be very quiet here if granddad and that Marjorie don't sort their selves out, and pack their antics in.

Grandma (there's no one quite like me)

Wetwang on the wolds

Right, that's that, don't be sending any letters to granddad at this address, as they won't be forwarded or passed on. That cow Marjorie has best watch her p's and q's in future.

I wonder if we still have them stocks in the old barn ?

Sheeplike people

Baaa, what has Grandad done with the cow Marjorie? I always thought he was your rock granny? Just goes to show you can't trust anyone. Eh?

The mejobsworth

I see Sue Grabbit and Run have gone bust, and gone out of existence!

Wetwang on the wolds

That's a shame, I was wondering if they handled divorce cases.
