If your nation has a film industry then you are invited to enter one of its fairly recent films in the ‘Best Foreign Film’ category at the IDU Film Festival (@ http://s10.zetaboards.com/IDU/topic/9004508/1/), which is being held at Suddery in Nova sodor. Any nation that sends an entry gets a vote not only to decide who wins that category but also to determine who wins the ‘Best IDU Film’, ‘Best Actor in an IDU Film’, and ’Classics of the IDU’ categories as well.
That's because a lot of them are not actual accounts but placeholder nations. Most of the activity occurs on the forums, and if any nation here hasn't visited the forums yet I highly highly recommend you take a look! It's a great part of the community.

I have no idea what you're complaining about; the government has been keeping you updated on happenings. Join the forums and be involved in the community, but don't complain that there's no activity if you're not willing to devote time and contribute.
New to this game, how do i grow my nation and actually start making something of my country?
Over time your region's population will grow and you will be faced with new issues to address, once every 5 hours if I recall correctly. In the meantime you can create lore and backstories for your nation by creating a new Factbook entry or dispatch. You can also join the world assembly to get involved in voting for global politics. Speaking of getting involved, as a member of this region I highly recommend you join our forums at http://w11.zetaboards.com/NSUK/index/. Create an account and we'll get your citizenship if everything is in order. We have a great community there and everyone should check it out. We have been focusing on getting new members involved in the community and it's been working out great! In fact, one new member was elected to parliament after just one week of being a citizen.
