The Civil Service is looking for new applicants!
The Civil Service is one of the primary bodies of the LKE government, anyone is allowed to apply and contribute to it's function and growth!
The Civil Service offers many different ways you can contribute!
In total, there are five departments you can register and apply for! All five of these include:
Imperial Broadcasting Service: The Imperial Broadcasting Service, or IBS for short, is the central news and information institution of the Imperial Government. It is managed by the Editor-in-Chief of the IBS, who is supervised and appointed by the Prime Minister. Serving as an editor is an interesting and unique way to serve the Empire. If you are interested in writing or editing, then the IBS is for you!
His Supreme Majesty's Diplomatic Service: His Supreme Majesty's Diplomatic Service, or HSMDS for short, is the chief agency of diplomacy within the Empire. It is led by the exterior ministry, serving in the Diplomatic Service is an easy way to serve the Empire, it allows you to experience other regions, and advance your knowledge of NationStates. If you want to experience what it's like to be in a variety of nations across NS while also serving the Empire at the same time, HSMDS is for you!
Ministry of Culture: The Ministry of Culture is a government department responsible for promoting the high imperial culture of the LKE. It is led by the Minister of Culture. Joining the culture team is an interesting & unique way to serve the Empire. If you enjoy participating in roleplay, discussions, and games and you wish to help arrange these for others to enjoy, then this ministry is for you!
Naturalisation Service: The Naturalisation Service works on issues of citizenship. The Naturalisation Service will keep track of all new nations and formally message new nations to entice and welcome them further. Suppose you find interest in helping newcomers familiarize themselves with the region, and also contributing to advertisements regarding the region such as this one. In that case, the Naturalisation Service is for you.
Ministry of the Colonies: The Ministry of the Colonies is the department responsible for promoting the colonial empire of the LKE. It is led by the Minister of the Colonies. If you're interested in helping promote the growth of the empire, consider joining this department!

First, you'll want to be a citizen of the Imperial Forums. If you are, head to the Employment Center, and select which department you'd like to join! Then answer the forms that the department asks of you to fill out, and then wait until the application is reviewed! And remember, you can sign up for more than one department, in fact, it is encouraged!

For those who want to do more than answer issues, the best way to get involved further in our regional government is to register on our off-site forum and apply for citizenship (membership of the Electoral College). Below are the following steps to do that:

- Apply for citizenship/electoral status by filling out and posting the short application. This will give you complete access to our forum and all the benefits that come with it.
While waiting for your citizenship application to be approved. You may wish to make introductory remarks in the
City Gates.
Note: We try to review all applications as quickly as possible, but the process can take up to 24 hours to complete. We appreciate your patience during this period.
Congratulations! Your application has been approved, here are the things you can do next:
Play some spam games on
Maximus Street, or join/start a discussion on the Imperial Square. If you have an idea for a roleplay game, start one in the Stories on the LKE.Do you like reading, writing, gaming or debating? Then our
Regional Societies have exactly what your looking for.Interested in politics, visit
Faction Avenue and join one of our political parties or start your own here. Run for a seat in parliament and rise to the highest positions of our government or the colonial administration.Does the thought of raiding and conquering regions appeal to you? If so, then perhaps a career in the
Imperial Army is right for you. We are always looking for new recruits to lead our region to greater glory!What about being a diplomat in His Supreme Majesty's Diplomatic Service? Then apply
here. This is the easiest way to gain experience while serving the region. Do you want your voice to be heard or have an idea for a business? Then check out the
Golden Mile and request a business today. The
University of The Land of Kings and Emperors runs law & political science programmes, features lecturers, and more. Be sure to check them out!
Don't you see anything you're interested in? That's okay, we are always open to new ideas and suggestions. Feel free to leave a message on Discord, post in the Imperial Square or telegram a regional officer.
Aside from answering issues, participating in our regional forums and chatting with the other Electors of the LKE in our RMB, another thing you might want to consider is joining the World Assembly. By joining the WA, you can submit your own resolutions, vote, and endorse other nations. By becoming a member of the World Assembly, you also help the LKE grow its influence in the world stage. WA nations endorsing our World Assembly Delegate New Zora increase the number of our region's votes in the body.
You need to a valid email. Go to your nation's settings and check if you provided one.
Go to the World Assembly page and click on "Apply to Join" at the top.
A confirmation email from NationStates will then be sent to the address you provided. Log in and look for the message from NationStates. Click the link and you should be directed back to the game.
Note, the rules allow you to only have one nation in the World Assembly. While you can create as much nations as you want (you can even move in more than one nation to the LKE), the game prohibits you from having multiple nations joining the WA.
Please do not hesitate to send a telegram to our regional officers or post on the Regional Message Board (RMB), or message a Minister on the forums. We are grateful that you decided to make the LKE the home of your nation on NationStates. We would welcome any suggestions on how we can improve our region.
