Blah blah blah! You people and your ability to buy things make me mad, I'm gunna rile a bunch of the other poor people up and take your crap. WE HAVE NOTHING TO LOVE BUT OUR CHAINS (that we've inadvertantly placed upon ourselves)

But in all seriousness, I might forgo a month of ground beef for that. Looks like a mashup of Civ, Endless space, EU, and some other games. For now, I shall resign myself to letsplays, which can such for RTS/Strategy games... BUT I SHALL ENDURE!

The Siege - Central Kresendra - Field Base of the 5th Republican Army of the State Ground Forces

The sound of artillery fire in the distance was cut short by the incoming fire alarm of the base, soldiers rushed into the dugouts that had become their homes and waited for the all clear. Inside this network of tunnels the soldiers carried on. Lt. Orthys Vaalhar gathered with his squad around an empty crate, turned into a table.

On the crate were stacks of coins as Pvt. Jaene shouted to others, "Step up and take your chances, what will be destroyed today? The mess tent? Armory? I'm feeling lucky about the storage tents!"

Initially the brass had tried to stop this kind of gambling but like the troops as a whole, they were worn down and did not care anymore. The siege of the Nuclear Membrane had been going on for two months now. The Nuclear Membrane was a heavily fortified defensive line, behind which lay the nucleus of Kresendra. But the point of entry that the 5th Army had to break through was Fortress Zolteva, which had anti-tank, air and personnel positions as well as artillery bunkers. As time wore on, as thousands of soldiers were sacrificed for precious meters, the will of the army had been whittled away. Now there was talk of a final assault on the Fortress, in order to breach the membrane. Just as the artillery attack was over the camp’s own guns began a counter barrage and trucks drove in carrying more men and building supplies. Orthys walked across the camp’s empty ground smoking, medics and engineers flying around him trying to clean up the mess. He headed towards the tactical centre, having been told to report there. Inside stood the head of 5th Army, General Aegor Minas and rows of officers sitting, waiting for instructions. Orthys took his seat as the General briefed them:

“Now I know it has been a long 2 months, we promised that this would be over in a week, it wasn’t. But today we put the nail in the coffin that is the putrid government of Kresendra. We are dealing with an enemy that is neither human or Valyrian, they are robotic, they have no need of sleep nor food, they have no morale to break and no medical problems. We have underestimated them, but tomorrow is the day we fight back. We have 75’000 men arriving as part of a reinforcement group, as well as 80 new tanks and 50 self-propelled guns.”

He pointed to a stained chalk board, upon which maps, details of movements and documents had been pinned.

“Infantry squadrons A-H will go by the mountain passes to the right side of the fortress, you will wait until the artillery and air strikes are over and the tank assault from the front has begun, you will attack the right side of the fortress and gain entry, infantry squadrons J-M will enter the fortress after you have from the front. Neutralize everything in the fortress and allow the tanks to breach the membrane. Good luck soldiers, remember, fight for the Republic.”
Orthys left the tent nervous, he and his squad had never done something so daring, they had been to the front and had been successful on raids and offensive, but nothing this dangerous. He went back to the dugout and slept a restless sleep.

The Next Day

The trucks grinded to a halt, heavy boots cut through the dust kicked into the air. Orthys and his squad made their way down the mountain pass, the sound of falling bombs and shells in the distance. Orthys held his walkie-talkie close to his ear, waiting for the signal. The walkie-talkie came to life, and Orthys ordered his squad forward.
They charged into a rain of hellfire, bullets and shells landing all about them. Orthys saw 10 men mowed down by machine gun fire as they pushed on. They reached a shell hole and fell to the ground there, Orthys took a shot at a bot, it went through it and the machine fell to the ground, deactivated. The coast seemed clear and so they marched on. They could see that the tanks were doing far better than them, pushing forward and mowing down drones at an alarming pace. Suddenly there was an explosion a few feet from Orthys. He went black.

He was home, in Valyria. Not only was he home, he was a boy again. He was in his family’s holiday home on the south coast of the country. He had just come back from playing with the other children, his father was watching the news, something about the crown-princess was playing. His mother and sister were in the kitchen, his sister reading and his mother serving dinner. She called them in to the dining room on the balcony. The sun was leaving the sky, it was a cool late summer’s night. His mother looked up at him and smiled.

“Orthys?” She said, but not with her voice, it was the voice of one of his squadmates Orthys was puzzled. “Orthys? ORTHYS?!”

He woke up. The battle was still raging, he got up, staggering for a moment before regaining his balance. “We…..need……to……push….” The squad nodded and they charged on. They reached the heavy metal doors of the fortress. The detonation squad planted the charges and they stepped back. The explosion only added to the ringing in Orthys’ ears. They charged in with a mad fury, shooting wildly at any drone they found. By the end of it, 50 of the 450 soldiers remained, but they had taken the fortress. Orthys sat against a wall in the building, the blackout had been, ironically, a wake up call for him, he really needed to go home.

A small, rhythmic blinking was what first alerted the scientists to the possibility of a habitable planet. The scientists, excited by their discovery, immediately went to the not-too-daunting task of pouring through four years worth of telemetry and data collected from the system, then known as ESP-4468123. They quickly discovered what all had hoped for, but none had dared breathe a word of - a habitable world, within FTL range, and undiscovered previously due to it’s position - within the Lerodan galaxy’s zone of exclusion. There was just one problem - the planets didn’t exist. Rather, they couldn’t exist. Two planets orbiting in the exact same orbital around a star was almost totally impossible. The odds of such a thing were so slim that it was probably the only occurrence of such a thing in the local galactic cluster - and it just happened to be right in the neighborhood of the Mekkadons. Doubtfully hopeful, a probe was launched, barely reached 1 ly/d. At that speed, it would take ten years to reach the twin planets.
While the astronomers quickly forgot about their exciting but dubious discovery in another stellar system, the government did not. Excited by some other nearby candidates, the production of a small fleet of top-secret ships, reserved for use when a suitable planetary system was found. And so, under the guise of darkness, the Mekkadons built, worked, researched, and continued in their search for a home far away from the tiny speck upon which they sat.

Mekkadon Air and Space Administration Agency Headquarters, New Korendathross, 288
The Mekkadon Air and Space Administration Agency (MASAA) had experienced quite a meteoric rise in the past decade. Ten years ago, the agency consisted of thirty or so astronomers sitting in a dimly lit, coffee-stained room pouring over documents and data, searching with guarded hope for the information that would make all of their work worth it: a habitable planet. They had had a few false positives, some barely habitable rocks, and a few good choices. But all had flaws. Most had more than one. But all of them shared once common problem: They had already been discovered. This was no good for a group of scientists working for the weak, small Franz-Mekkado. So they needed new results. Because of that, in 276, they pointed their telescope where no one else was foolish enough to: The Zone of Avoidance. The thick, intensely bright band of sky that was the rest of the galaxy. Pointing a telescope into that was nearly pointless; the combined luminosity of all the stars nullified any data that could be collected. But still, in an act of desperation heightened by budget cuts, they did it. And, within two years, they had found a system that went far beyond their wildest dreams. ESP-4468123 filled all the criteria needed for a new system, including that it had never before been discovered. And so in 278 they sent out a probe ship, holding only 13 hopeful scientists.

By 288, the Agency was barely recognizable as the child of that coffee-stained, poorly-lit room. The Agency now did business in a huge, newly built structure located right in the middle of the capital. It was in this new building, only a month after the official opening ceremony, that the members of the Agency’s board of directors received exciting news: The explorers were back. They were quarantined for a month, and, in that time, thoroughly questioned about all that they had seen and done in this new system. They jointly issued a report that strongly advised colonization of the new system and, on the 12th day of Imara, all 13 scientists entered a brand-new board room packed with scientists, Imperial officials, and, most excitingly, the Emperor and his aides.

Their presentation was long and covered every aspect of their journey. They spoke for more than four hours, and, for every second of those four hours, the people in the room listened intently. When someone broke for the bathroom, they would bolt out, and bolt back in, to minimize what they would miss. But, by the end of the four hours, the conclusion was obvious: All efforts should be made to colonize these planets as soon as possible. And they were. Immediately after he left the building, Alexander Mekkado authorized spending billions of Frank-Misoes on the construction of ships to bring supplies and settlers to this distant system. The space age was about to begin in Franz-Mekkado.

ESP-4468123 Report CXF-776 - Quick Data - CLASSIFICATION LEVEL 3
Date of access 18E 288, 137
The system of the twin planets known as Chetau and Ahiri is located approximately 4,039,731,911,792,002 km away from Lerodas. This translates to a 320.25 day travel time to the system. The system is located, relative to Lerodas, inside the Zone of Avoidance. The system, aside from the twin planets, contains an asteroid belt, two other rock planets, four gas giants, and a central star approximately 4 billion years old. Both planets, Chetau and Ahiri, have developed some form of Flora and Fauna, and though many are sentient, none appear to have developed sapience or semi-sapience, and so remain primitive, with no language, tools, means of communications of society. Chetau is divided primarily into five zones: A northern ice sheet, northern tundra and snow plains, a central temperate area, a southern jungle area, and, in the far south, a large ocean with a few small islands. Ahiri, on the other hand, has two main area: a large hyperarchipelago along the equator of the planet, and a separate archipelago in the northeast.

Both planets have atmospheres and gravities similar to that of Lerodas, and while Ahiri rotates on its axis, Chetau does not, leaving the north pole of the planet frozen and dayless, whereas the south pole is very hot and is in a constant state of daytime.

Lardfingers & Government Love
Eliza Fetton slumped in the rain, mud pooling around her feet. The unpaved roads of the suburbs of Mandate were filled with trash and refuse, piled high besides the shanty huts and corrugated iron blocky houses. She glared at a flickering television screen, which displayed that vile, worm Oyento Cortoeke. The news of spectacular corruption had rocked the city, and she had joined the masses in protest. As it became clear Cortoeke would refuse to resign, anger boiled.

“Hey, Missus, move along, we’re closing up now,” the store manager said, leaning out the doorway.
Eliza glared at him and turned away, slogging down through the streets. Her prosthetic leg clicked and still occasionally itched, but the spotty internet in the government housing supplied to her had provided lessons on how to “amputate” the phantom limb.
She slammed the wooden door of her apartment stack and ascended the rickety stairs. 10 years. 10 years was far too long for any one party to rule the nation. They had just too much time to wreck it all. Eliza swatted a mosquito and entered her apartment, the air muggy. Her door was ajar.
“Hello?” she asked into the hallway. She nudged the door open with one foot. It was a mess! Books, her rudimentary and simple furniture smashed and lying shattered across the floor. She ran to the opposite wall, bending down to gingerly pick up her smooth stone from the military, the one with the Mandiran flag painted on it. A napkin was framed as well.

“Hello!” she shouted again. Her cutlery was strewn about the kitchen floor. The cramped space was filled with smashed bowls, plates, and food. A gun! She had to get her gun. Running back through the living room to her bedroom, she rummaged in the pillowcase for her beloved pistol. A smooth, black casing, she gripped it tightly and flipped the safety. Probably some run-of-the-mill thugs searching for valuables. She kicked a pot out of the way and pointed her pistol inside the bathroom.

Back in the living room, she flicked on the television. Some useless ads for the latest Iogen mutation, and an ad for lemon-scented candles. Eliza mashed the channels button on her remote, changing to Radio Free. “-police raids on multiple locales, in order to uncover terrorist cells rumored to have set up there.” Bloody hell! Those government goons had ransacked her apartment! Over what?
She felt a bubbling anger rise up. Righting a chair, she plonked down on it, gripping her pistol tight.

“Deemed Operation Lardfingers, the Ministry of Loyalty is certain it has apprehended over 43 potential terrorists.” It was somewhat irritating that she’d be singled out. The television abruptly went black, the lights went out with a pop, and there was a spark and fizz sound from outside. The vents stopped their humming. Eliza cursed under her breath. Ah well, Classic Mandiran electric grid.

OOC: I’m back!

Date Night

The subway cabin hummed quietly as the train glided through the tunnel. Rayda Sterling was seated next to the door. She wore a dark red, high formal Khrestilune dress that seemed to fold over itself like a robe at the front, bound by buttons at the sides. Black, opaque leggings covered her legs, and she wore formal black boots that reached her knees. Her arms were covered by sleeves that hugged them to a similar degree to her leggings, as well as black formal gloves that reached her elbows.

The subway train eventually hissed to a stop at its closest point to Rayda’s destination, and she departed for the Aurora Lounge.

Sometime into the walk, Rayda was accompanied by a familiar face. He wore black slacks and shoes and a black formal vest over a white buttoned shirt. A black fedora hat sat crooked on his head, and a deep blue sash wrapped itself around his waist.

“Why the look of bemusement, Rayda?” Jeffrey Lasic asked the woman in question, who was giving him a sidelong look.
“Of all the places you could choose, you reserve a table in the Aurora Lounge?” Rayda asked bemusedly.
“What’s wrong with it? You wanted a formal date.” Jeff replied.
“Well, normally, yes, but I made night rounds back when we were stationed at the Gentaur site. I got a better view of the Aurora’s biggest selling point.”
Jeff sighed at that, “Ah, I had forgotten about that. Sorry.”
“Don’t worry about it, Jeff. You were probably too busy pitying me for being assigned night rounds on the Gentaur site.” Rayda reassured him. “Besides, tonight is for us. I’m sure we’ll find something to talk about.”
Jeff lit up at that “We always do manage to get into some form of discussion, don’t we?”

—Ten Minutes Later, at the Aurora Lounge—

Silence reigned supreme in the mostly empty Aurora Lounge. Aside from Jeff and Rayda, the darkened room was completely devoid of anyone else, barring the waiter that seated them and took their orders, who had just retreated down a stairway into the kitchen. The Aurora Lounge was a transparent dome, with the combination of the light from the moon and the aurora on the snowy wasteland creating the feel of an alien landscape as far as could be seen. Soft jazz music was being played throughout the dome, as Jeff and Rayda shot awkward glances toward each other.

Eventually, Rayda broke the nearly unbearable quiet, “So…what was that you said about us always getting into a discussion?”
Jeff, who had his face buried in his hands, groaned, “I’m trying to think. Where do our discussions usually start?”
“The news,” Rayda answered offhandedly, “Speaking of, while I was with project Siddarmark, I didn’t get a lot of media access. What’s the talk of the week?”
“Now we’re getting somewhere.” Jeff said, almost relieved as he took a sip of the Mandiran potato vodka, and winced at its burning aftertaste. “mm, they recently finished repairing the Trans-Khrestilune railway, so it’s back online now.” He told her, “Your turn, I heard Project Siddarmark was declassified for the Guard, but we haven’t been briefed quite yet on what exactly they made there. What, perchance, was it?”
“Power Armor!” Rayda chirped, a giddy grin on her face. Jeff started, and coughed in his drink.
“I’m sorry?” was all that Jeff could croak out.
“They were making power armor, and I was a test pilot! I’m now one of the first certified Siddarmark battlesuit pilots. Before the end of the month, we’re supposed to get our own ‘Battlesuit Corps’ within the National Guard.” She explained.
“Damn. Not in time for the first wargame with Vaetoria.” Jeff cursed.
“Jeff, even if it was in time to be deployed, I doubt the Vaetorians would ever allow it in the first joint exercises. It would be like if they brought their marine armor to the match.” Rayda told him. “I’m just glad I get to miss out on getting my ass handed to me by them in the meantime.”

Their meals arrived, a seasoned arctic fish with a side of razor-thin sliced Mandiran potatoes for Jeff, and a steamed deep-ocean crab with a side of diced mushrooms all under a sauce made from moss and algae. After a couple of delicious bites, the two got back into conversation.

“So,” Rayda began, between bites of crab, “When did the Aurora lounge begin serving meals?”
“Since the ‘Gen’ initiative, actually.” Jeff answered her, “My guess is this place felt it needed another selling point aside from the view, as demonstrated by you.” He explained, “Bringing us back to the recently fixed skyway, did we ever find out who collapsed that pillar?”
“Not that I’ve heard. The forums are still rife with theory, though.” Rayda answered him, before taking a bite of her meal. “Apparently the Ascendancy is one of the more popular ones.”
“Seriously?” Jeff asked incredulously, to which with raised eyebrows, Rayda nodded. “Why would they be interested in a couple of cities at the bottom of the world?” Jeff asked.
“My guess is a secret headquarters. Though somehow, I doubt they’d be interested.” She replied. “I’m changing the subject this time. Do you know of any updates on the ‘Gen’ cities?”
“Well, Genno is turning into sort of a shipping and naval hub for the Antarctic League, and the area around Gentaur is largely becoming a mining region.” Jeff summarized, “Oh, their making a Thorium MOX fuel reactor down there in some deal with Emereld.”

The pair continued to talk into the night, ignoring the brilliant Lerodan Aurora shown overhead.

OOC: maybe not my best post, but I will get back up to pace.

Freny creation

Years ago primitive tribes fought over a territory near a river, this river was called Freny, after years of battle a more advanced civilization controlled the river for more than 10 years, creating villages around the river. After these 10 years of glory to civilization that controlled the river was felled inside, rebels fought for their freedom, that civilization was very rude and cruel at the end of the war that lasted about 15 years the rebels left winners and created a nation without leader. This nation has evolved fast already in medieval era created a name for his great kingdom of commerce and fortune, The Freny Kingdom, which soon would become a capitalist nation. In the colonial era focused on colonization creating more towns and villages away from the river, in the same era, Christianity had become the official religion of the kingdom. In the modern era everyone believed a better name would be something new, because the big advertisements of the season, then after "protests" planned by the government they decided to change the name to Freny, named after the river that started the wars for the creation of a new capitalist nation.

After formalizing the new name, Some smart civilians realized the huge propaganda that the government was doing in its TVs, mobile phones, computers, etc. After months spreading this government's strategy 3 cities entered civil rights protests. The desperate government on cituaçao tries to convince the current "Leader" to use the option that each want.

"Leader need to think fast, it will only end in war, but another war would bring more fame and glory if our side wins, in fine, you should immediately stop this nonsense and exterminate the rebels" - Says the general giving his opinion on the subject
"We clearly should not segur this stupid plan of this most stupid general, the option right is clearly accept so wishes of the rebels and cumprilos to avoid another devastating war in Freny" - Answer a local civil rights lover
"Both options are ridiculous, we need to invest more in advertising is about to consiguir to" brainwash "them, if you understand me." – Says a economist
After this conversation the leaders are in a room trying to find the best option, and not destroy Freny.
After hours in the room, the leaders were going to put into practice the decision when they hear shots, coming out of the construction.

After the police arrive on the scene and prevent the rebels to hurt any soul, the leaders were taken to a safer place, a military base. Everyone was frightened by the new war possible in Freny.
Two years later, it was possible to make a meeting with the rebel leader and government leaders, an important decision for Freny of history will be made there

"So if you guys really want the return of peace on Freny recommend accepting our demands" -Tell the rebel leader
"Here are the requirements:
1- Stop making these stupid advertisements.
2 focus more on civil rights
3- Create a state for all current rebels and the governor will be me "-Complete the rebel leader saying his demands.
After 1 hour arguing about it, all the leaders decided to accept the request, and within 6 months, the requirements will be met. After this alarming moment in front, the requirements have been fulfilled and the government even thinking wrong all decided that accomplish the goals that the rebels have created. 5 years after that "war" one capital was created, and they are starting creation of plans of a president for the whole country, not just 5 leaders escolidos the finger at government

Don't worry about how bad you perceive your RP to be, any start is a good start. However one thing to be aware of is that this region does not take place on Earth. It instead takes place on the fictional planet Lerodas in its own solar system, and which has had no contact with Earth or humans from Earth. This means that it has its own history and so religions like Christianity do not exist on the planet.

I suggest reading this nation's informative (albeit rather outdated) factbooks: nation=cog_welcome_wagon/detail=factbook

Alternatively you can always ask the admins for help. I also know that The United Roman Reich offers help to newcomers. That, or you could always shoot me a telegram and I'll see what I can do.
