Alright. Did Lolitan ever ask you to leave?

And just do it. I have a direct line with Nani right now and I'll confront her.

To my knowledge, no. I think she admitted there was a mistake a few pages back, actually, but she didn't say anything about making me leave.

And I've drawn a line in the sand here; I'm not moving again until Naniyyolia takes back that ridiculous post and agrees to be more realistic.

No. I can take snatch land from the GA right now if I wanted, but I'm not doing it. You're saying I admit snatching land if I could, which is the other way around. I want you out of FEA and Oppressaria, and that is all I am interested in at this time.

Always remember that it's the perfect time to blockade Valcouria, and I have the means of doing just that, but I'm not doing that, because unlike you, I'm not a big fan of total wars. They're a waste of time and resources.

WWII was a total victory; Germany and Japan were utterly destroyed. WWI on the other hand left Germany almost completely intact, because the war didn't end with a battle, it ended in a revolution. Note how Germany's behaved since WWII...that's what happens after you get blasted to smithereens in a war.

Sure, and when will you decide I need to be out of Thrasz? or cease any and all trade with anyone except my allies? Or stop having a navy? Or pay you tribute? Where does it end?

IC: The American Navy and its Shuruppak/Cyrodoon reinforcements have been ordered to cease fire on the Nanan fleet due to the Grand Duke's orders; something could occur, which is to remain a secret for the time being.

OOC: I'm considering throwing in the towel with this war. Really, I am.

I think we all have that sentiment right now. Well, except Naniyyolia. She's probably ready to proclaim herself god-empress of the world or something...

Marescowl wrote:OOC: That would work if they were selling all of their military equipment, but they aren't. Without a trade surplus, how are they generating capital for imports? The problem with the service sector idea is that is filled with surplus labour after industry. There wouldn't be a surplus.

OOC: I imagine that the government either provides a wage for the employees building military equipment, or the employees are private contractors who work for companies that the government awards military contracts to.

Who says they are not getting a trade surplus?

A country cannot reasonably exist without some degree of a tertiary sector - every country that is reasonably modern must have a tertiary sector. Naniyyolia would have citizens working in primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors - and as we have seen in the RP, also has people in the quaternary sector. These sectors are not barriers; one must not fill up before another begins to attract workers, and all of them contribute to the economy of a nation in various fields and amounts.

OOC: You need to stop being paranoid. I can take over your navy right now, but I'm not doing any such thing. I can make you pay me tributes, but I'm not making you do any such thing.

I know you, and how you operate. You will keep pushing me if you can the first time around. Eventually you'll make me your servant, we both know it; it's the final goal of nations that despise each other.

OOC: Here's a simple settlement to ensure that this RP doesn't blow the hell up.

-Nani took Thrasz from you, but you're sending in a multi-million man army to take it back. Essentially, what it was before all the OOC arguments. As for the civilians, some got killed resisting, many are captured, but some are still resisting.

-Kerauia and Lolitan: Multi-million invasion force going to invade both. Very small footholds in both.

-America: Fvcuk it, I'm a goner. Up to you if you want to bail me out. I'm just sitting here under a ceasefire with a giant Nanan fleet in front of me.

-Hadian: Sorry, but you lost it. You're vastly outnumbered and cut off.

However, Nani cannot walk in and unilaterally declare a victory, x men died, or anything bullshit like that. She also cannot say that her defenses killed everyone or shot everything down. She's going to have to take some losses, nor can she claim that you're being unfeasible military-wise since she's doing the exact same thing. In short, she cannot unilaterally do anything.

Now can we be done with this?

And she agreed to all of that? No offense, but I want to hear it from her first before I agree to anything.

Also, I expect that Thrasz was as it was before her little 'screw you, I win' moment?

Despoticania wrote:The Despot requests an immediate video conference with the Minister Council.

Of course.

Yes, Great Despot.

OOC: Yes. And this is a proposal.

You say you can, which first of all I have a hard time believing. So it's inevitable that you make an attempt to try.

IC: This is a brief warning from the Imperial Crown and the government of America for all other foreign nations: The Grand Duke currently conferencing with The Despot Himself. All attempts to interfere with this communication and conference will be treated as an act of war against America.

Does this include me? Because it may or may not. I'm not a minister, but I do have an office in this government.

Koopaville wrote:Yes, Great Despot.

Hmm. As long as Thrasz is how it was before that, then I think it's alright. But I also still have troops in Lolitan, as well.

Valcouria wrote:Hmm. As long as Thrasz is how it was before that, then I think it's alright. But I also still have troops in Lolitan, as well.

OOC: You have a small garrison in Kerauia and Lolitan that are in extreme peril. As for Thrasz, no bombings, but you did lose it; your citizens are resisting, dead, or captured at about an even rate.

You too, yes.

Alrighty then.

OOC: I am saying they can't have a trade surplus. The demands of this kind of military doesn't leave them products to buy or sell. Their domestic labour would be mostly employed in the military sector. Manufacturing, maintenance, logistics. There wouldn't be enough capital to manufacture consumer goods. They wouldn't have a trade surplus to provide capital for imports. Naniyyolia's military is as impossible as a teleporting navy.

All I want is a beachhead in Karuria, that's it. Lolitan, I expect my troops to be unmolested there, including the reinforcements I sent. Thrasz, the reinforcements are present and fighting already.

OOC: Oh boy. What's gonna happen now, Despot? I hope for only the best lulz to come of this.
