We had a plan of action...about a week ahead of time. And we executed it flawlessly. Though, the plan was accelerated by Kondor cure nuking the entire region. The rest of us couldnt keep up

Also, we are the 29th largest region to be totally cured! AND we only lost 36 million citizens, all because Den decided to push military at literally the last second. Nearly 100% survivability.

What say ye, SP? Should we sign the Treaty?
No. I really don't see the need for this kind of alliance. I accept the decision of the region but I don't see the point of having a "Regional Council" either. We've done well up to this point without having either.
No, because South Pacific has always been a completely neutral region. Any foreign situation we want to join would need to be completely free from any military action. And they specifically say that an attack on any treaty member obligates each of the others to act. Im not necessarily opposed to joining inter regional treaties. During my time as delegate, I did some work trying to create one. But they require a lot of work from the leaders and a lot of activity from the members or they will fall apart quickly.
And from experience, this is completely useless. As a 3 year veteran of NS defending, by the time this alliance reacts to a threat its too late to do anything. And unless they have a heavily trained, fairly large and skillfully led defense force, they wont be able to take a region back. Defending in NS is a lot more difficult than it sounds.

This alliance reminds me of the EU a bit too much....bleurgh.
