Together, your opinions determine how Pro-life is governed.

The regional cap has been increased to seven endorsements. WA members may give and receive endorsements, but no nation (except for Aawia) shall accumulate more than seven of them.

Hey. I'm not a Christian, and I'm quite liberal, but in recent months, I've become more and more wary of the idea of anortion. It just strikes me as something I cannot support as a humanist. So, I'll be joining this region for the time being.

Tack!

Welcome!

Post self-deleted by Culture of Life.

Greetings!

We've had a number of non-Christians here at various times: people from other faiths, agnostics, and atheists.

Indeed! Welcome! It's great to have you here :)

On the regional forums, a new topic has been opened for region members to discuss the Security Council proposal Repeal "Liberate The Mountains to the East." Please consider posting your opinions on this proposal.

Thanks for the welcome, all.

Anyways, I'm working on a language factbook, and I'd like to see what y'all think.

The Borgian language is a North Germanic language that evolved from East Norse. Only 379,553 people are native speakers, thanks to the island's small population. Regardless, the language is a very unique, challenging language that many people enjoy. When settlers from Norse regions settled the island in 456, they primarily spoke Old Norse and East Norse. Over a period of time, the language evolved into Borgian. This factbook is a language guide to help English speakers learn Borgian. Injíí!

Orthography

The orthography, or written language, uses the standard Latin alphabet, with six extra characters. These extra characters are, Ø, Å, Ä, Ö, Í, and Ü. Ergo, the language has 32 letters.

Sentence and Grammar Rules

The sentence structure of the language isn't always straightforward, and the language has some interesting rules one must follow when writing a sentence. Below are a few examples of these rules, as writing a full list of them would be exhausting.

Rule One

In some sentences, the verb come at the very end of the sentence. However, this only happens when the verb ends in "en" or "an." Another thing to keep in mind is that with some verbs, this may only apply to the conjugated form. "Hasse" would come towards the beginning of the sentence, while the conjugated form "hassen" would come at the end.

For instance, Olaf has a bicycle is "Olaf Fahrødder Hassen." Note how the word for has comes at the end of the sentence.

Rule Two

The word "the" doesn't exist in the Borgian language. Rather, the word the is added as a "en", "on", or "an" at the end of the sentence. This makes the Borgian language similar to the Swedish language, which shares this rule. An example of this rule is below,

"Vörg" is wolf.
"Vörgen" is the wolf.
"Pojell" is boy.
"Pojellan" is the boy.

This rule isn't without exceptions, as words that end in "en" or "an", add a "ar" or "er" to denote that one is referring to "the something."

Rule Three

Adverbs always come at the beginning of a sentence. And, this rule has no exceptions. Historians are unsure as to why this developed, and this rule confuses foreigners frequently. A few examples are below.

"Schletzig vaaten en Mjølk" is "I want milk badly."

"Fützten raadir mein Fahrødder" is "I ride my bike quickly."

Rule Four

The simplest and most important rule is the following. Never, under any circumstances, write a sentence without capitalizing a noun! This is the single most important rule of the language. An example is below.

"Jog åten mein Smorgot" is "I eat my sandwich." As you can see, the noun "sandwich" is capitalized.

Verb Conjugations

The verb conjugations in the present tense are relatively simple, and are listed below. Of course, there are verb conjugations for the future and past tense, but these are not listed. The examples below use a example verb "renni".

Jog(I): Renní
Vuu(You): Rennit
Hat, Han(He,She): Rennin
Vi(We):Rennitin
Vin(They): Renn

1. All of this, except now the cap has been raised to eight endorsements.

2. A new topic has been opened on the regional forums for region members to discuss the General Assembly proposal War Crimes Tribunal. Please consider sharing your opinions.

Cool! Are you Swedish? Are there any particular reasons you chose these particular grammatical structures? Are you developing Borgian as a private language for your own use, or for use communicating with others?

Sorry, I'm a bit of a language nerd. :P

Anyone on?

I'm about to sign off.

Today and tomorrow are the last days for you to declare your candidacy for regional elections.

We still need somebody to run for PLI representative. (PLI is an alliance of pro-life regions.)

Also, the Super Bowl predictions thread is still open if you want to place a ₤12 bet.

Sorry for the late response, I've been busy with school.

Anyways, I'm not Swedish, but I'm learning it. I love linguistics, particularly Scandinavian languages. Ergo, I spend a unhealthy amount of time studying various world languages. :p

Come one, Come all. A debate that'll be going from this saturday to sunday is happening. You can watch the mayhem or jump right in just follow region policys.

Jesus Christ my God, I adore you and thank you for all the graces you have given me this day. I offer you my sleep and all the moments of this night, and I ask you to keep me from sin. I put myself within your sacred side and under the mantle of our Lady. Let your holy angels stand about me and keep me in peace. And let your blessing be upon me. With Mary we ask this. Amen.

Why are we voting again? Lol.

To decide who's listed first and who's listed second of course. :p

In practice, I offer the senior senator the office of president first if the presidency ever becomes vacant between elections.
