Given that message from Alte, I shall now vote on the first two issues. Actually, I believe issue 2 is now moot, considering Alte did step down. Now who wishes to be the Crisis and Conflict Minister? We should have nominations so we can get a vote together. Issue three is too vague for me to comfortably vote on. I wish for more clarification on what is intended. We already have ROF stationed in strategic places near the Russian border and within Gaza. What more is desired of the IM?

All but C are null and void. Seems like A, Haldasia remains as Supreme Monarch, B, Alte is out and C, the Imperial Matrix has to act immediately. I am totally shocked that Alte has given up on Occitania. Why invest so much time and effort to give in and give up so easily? Why bother staying?

Alright, well, I guess Issue 1 failed to pass. And Issue 3 did pass. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure what the author wants the IM to do. Make a statement about the main issues? Declare war on someone (hopefully not)? Except for making a unified Occitan statement, I can think of nothing reasonable that the IM can do that we haven't already done.

This is a clear breach of Occitanian law (at least the laws I wrote and worked on). "If any member of Occitania is threatened with military action then his fellow member states MUST stand with him against his antagonists." It is clear to me that the laws which were meant to make all equal are now being bent to serve a popular agenda. The crisis in Ukraine is horrible, as is the one in Gaze, but to openly threaten military action against a member state is not only grounds for dismissal it is also be grounds for a ban. (See the South Africa incident) This is an unfair and biased attack on a member state that has, until this point, been a productive and forward thinking member. I for one am appalled at this action, even the threat of using the ROF or ODF against a member state without their express consent is beyond any moral standing that could be taken. I for one stand with The Grand Duchy of Moscow and The City of Saint Petersburg, it is unfair and morally corrupt toward him that any of you would think of military action. As a founding member I especially condemn the high ranking members of Occitania. You have allowed this craziness develop into a fervor with which member states are openly threatening war against each other.

Well, a couple interesting events over the last couple of days. First off, since there is no way for me to send the ODF to Alte to help protect government buildings, Haldasia will send a few EOD squads to Alte if permission is granted. Hopefully new, safer techniques of bomb disposal will also be allowed field testing.
To Bade (via Moscow if I'm correct): I do as well feel upset over some nations trying to lump our Moscow with the actions of the Russian Federation. We must all recognize that the Duchy of Moscow and St. Petersburg is not the same as the Russian Federation, just as the Vatican City is not Rome. However, I do believe that military intervention as a last resort is necessary if Occitania as a whole is threatened by one member's actions. Hopefully this issue never comes up, for we must all work together to keep Occitania strong.
Which brings me to another point. The European Union has provisions for suspending individual members if the entire EU believes that nation has committed a grievous wrong. I believe Occitania should have the same kind of provision. What does everyone else think?
Who are the ODF and EOD? What nation or nations are wanting to suspend?
I do feel a collaborative effort is in place between Moscow and Gaza and now Bade-Wurttenburg.
Yes, who or what are they? Moscow is supporting HAMAS and Gaza's counter offensive with Israel. If anyone should be suspended it is Moscow.

I'm hoping all this inter-regional conflict will turn out to be a healthy test of our region's government.. If our government can not handle it, maybe it needs to expand and adapt to address disputes between members within the region.

We might need to make a Imperial Matrix vote to improve Alte Koniggratz's customs. Apparently anyone can get through their airport, walk up to a building and buy enough chemicals, cement or fertilizer to make explosives. Actually, Israel really dropped the ball here too. With their excellent if minimalist airport security and overzealous border control, this really looks bad for them.

HAMAS continued their secret attacks in Alte Koniggratz. 16 dead and 12 civilians injured when a suicide bomber rode on public transportation. Two garbage cans exploded on a subway platform cuasing 4 deaths and 9 injuries and a temporary closing of the underground railway system.

Considering that you never even asked me if I was interested in an RP, Gaza, I've come to the conclusion that none of this ever happened and that you're just godmodding. Goodbye.
While I think his posts overstepped in demeaning security of a nation, I mean its not impossible that palestinian terrorists or those sympathetic to the palestinian agenda could initiate car bombs, its a bit much to assume they can just do it over and over. However, we have never really had a system of requesting permission for roleplay, having always winged it in the past so whether we should or not we can't really fault Gaza Strip for that.
The nations who roleplayed in the past are now the ones creating rules that do not exist, can only exist by the vote by the Imperial Matrix and now do not engage in roleplay and have abandoned the region and their responsibilities.
To Alte and Haldasia: You will never have to worry about Gaza again. We will never bother either one of you with anything again. We will appeal to the GU and the AFR for any and all needs since we are only an associate member.
I agree and sympathize with Gaza 100%. I have been a supporter of Gaza since the beginning.
To Gaza Strip: Who has created new rules? Alte and Haldasia? I will put all our energy into fighting whomever has made rules against you and in their favor. I will also pleed your case to the AFR.
Occitania,
What has this region come to? Bickering, infighting, and backstabbing. I am horrified to see a place once so opulent and esteemed being dragged through the proverbial slime of politics and war. I don't care if you dislike me, distrust me, or downright don't care, but by GOD I will not let Occitania become a cesspool of infighting. I am willing to open my nation as a mediator between all factions, I am willing to pay any fees, send what ever aid, and shelter any person that should demand it. This situation is horrifying, The Occitania we all have helped to build is being shaken to its very core. I beseech all parties, all nations to act with restraint, compassion and foresight. The simple rules which govern all of Occitania MUST be followed by all nations and associated states, whether they are agreed on or not. It is for the sake of peace and safety that they where created, for the sake of equality that they still stand. Occitania, you are a region to which I have given (and taken) more than my fair share, a region to which I will gladly fight for. Will you not do the same? Each of your nations is different, BUT you all are members of the best God d***n region in this world. You all are its binding glue, each making Occitania unique in its own way, and each contributing to a greater good. Please again I ask that you simply look at what you are doing to yourselves and the esteemed region.

I am very surprised in the disheartened disinterest of some members. No one seems genuinely interested but remain in the region. If those who have no time nor and eal interest why don't they just leave Occitania?
To Bade-Wurttenburg: I thought you had been banned. How did you get in? If you are so worried and want to help, why not appeal to the Imperial Matrix and return?
To Saarland: I banned him long ago and not sure how he returned but he has been banned again. I do feel Bade make some good points and I would believe the Imperial Matrix would listen to an appeal for his return. We need an active founder to help restore moral.
The inactivity law that was passed long ago will begin to be reinforced. If any member has been inactive for more than 30 his or her nation will be ejected (not banned) for inactivity but after two warnings, one 7 day warning and then a 48 hour warning, and then ejection.
To Alte and Gaza: There has never been a rule as far a roleplay. Your either participate or don't. I do understand why HAMAS feels that bombing parts of towns and cities in retaliation to Alte's disntrerest in fulfilling his Crisis and Conflict Ministry position. To continue to to ignore them is unacceptable.
To Gaza: Who imposed roleplay rules on you?
To Catalpha: I fully support the reinstatement of the 30 activity rule that was voting on and passed a couple of years ago. We have a lot of dead weight in our region. I will send a telegram to the AFR to wake up and be productive.
To all members: I see that Bade-Wurttenburg has officially requested to return to Occitania. I for one would vote for his return and nominate him as Crisis and Conflict Minister since he has called us to action, this proving his good intentions.
