Woodrow Wilson "Woody" Guthrie (July 14, 1912 – October 3, 1967)
"This Land Is Your Land"
Words and Music by Woody Guthrie
This land is your land This land is my land
From California to the New York island;
From the red wood forest to the Gulf Stream waters
This land was made for you and Me.
As I was walking that ribbon of highway,
I saw above me that endless skyway:
I saw below me that golden valley:
This land was made for you and me.
I've roamed and rambled and I followed my footsteps
To the sparkling sands of her diamond deserts;
And all around me a voice was sounding:
This land was made for you and me.
When the sun came shining, and I was strolling,
And the wheat fields waving and the dust clouds rolling,
As the fog was lifting a voice was chanting:
This land was made for you and me.
As I went walking I saw a sign there
And on the sign it said "No Trespassing."
But on the other side it didn't say nothing,
That side was made for you and me.
In the shadow of the steeple I saw my people,
By the relief office I seen my people;
As they stood there hungry, I stood there asking
Is this land made for you and me?
Nobody living can ever stop me,
As I go walking that freedom highway;
Nobody living can ever make me turn back
This land was made for you and me.

True perfection seems imperfect,
yet it is perfectly itself.
True fullness seems empty,
yet it is fully present.
True straightness seems crooked.
True wisdom seems foolish.
True art seems artless.
The Master allows things to happen.
She shapes events as they come.
She steps out of the way
and lets the Tao speak for itself.
It would appear as though you're correct. After a brief Google search, according to the CDC, there were about 11,000 firearm homicides in the US in 2013 (http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/homicide.htm), and according to the DOJ around 60% of all firearm deaths in recent years are suicides, not homicides (via Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_violence_in_the_United_States#cite_note-National_Vital_Statistics_System-10).
I think you miss the point. The United States government, specifically the Republican party, is incredibly obstructionist when it comes to investigating possible causes to firearm deaths and also hypocritically political when it comes to investigating Hillary Clinton. The fact the 50% or so of these deaths may have been suicides further exposes the GOP's hypocrisy given their propensity to cut mental health services and programs. At the end of the day, the American people lose.

These Condemn & Commend Resolutions are mostly a popularity contest and a waste of the World Assembly’s time. It is not the Business of the World Assembly to Honour Nations. The WA is not a Beauty Contest. We would ignore these Resolutions were it not for the ridiculous precedent these Resolutions present.
As such, Mikeswill voted AGAINST the World Assembly Resolution "Condemn The World Assembly".

Hmmm. I don't play with the issues.
However, if this is your own idea, keep in mind
That there are plenty of other regions in the game
Like the Rejected Realms that you could relocate to.
I am yet to listen to the rest of the nations within our beloved region and ideas are bulletproof. It can be oush aside true but to tell our freedom loving region love it or leave it is some kind of obstructing free speech.
WKNS Radio: Emerson, Lake & Palmer ~
"Lucky Man"
He had white horses
And ladies by the score
All dressed in satin
And waiting by the door
Ooooh, what a lucky man he was
Ooooh, what a lucky man he was
White lace and feathers
They made up his bed
A gold covered mattress
On which he was led
Ooooh, what a lucky man he was
Ooooh, what a lucky man he was
He went to fight wars
For his country and his king
Of his honor and his glory
The people would sing
Ooooh, what a lucky man he was
Ooooh, what a lucky man he was
A bullet had found him
His blood ran as he cried
No money could save him
So he laid down and he died
Ooooh, what a lucky man he was
Ooooh, what a lucky man he was

. Interesting point of view. I perhaps miss the point of view because it infringes upon the Bill of Rights in the Constitution; and I'm glad at least one party stands up for the Second Amendment...just as I'm glad the Democrats comsistently stick up for the First Amendment. Regarding dropping Hilary Clinton in a gun debate...that's funny!
I'm sorry, but can you please direct me to the line in the 2nd Amendment where the Framers stated that it was forbidden to conduct research into gun violence or enact safeguards aimed at preventing mass shootings?
On a related note, I fail to see why people treat the Constitution as something sacrosanct (indeed, almost divinely inspired), rather than recognizing it as a deeply flawed product of its time. The world we live in now is vastly different than the world of the 1700s in terms of technology, social mores, existential threats, etc. It's about time we updated the Constitution to better serve the current needs of the country.
Research is fine ... Fair enough. Research all you want :-)
But sorry, don't tread on me or my Constitution.
