Hey, I'm a new member if NationStates. When I created my nation, I wanted it to be located in the Middle East. Once I figured out how to get out of the pacific region, I decided to join this one. :-)
Sorry if my grammar is really bad. English isn't exactly my native tongue.
Anyway, I have a few questions about the region. Is joining the offsite forum mandatory? Is that the only way to get on the map?

Kuusal, Welcome to the Middle East! While we certainly encourage everyone to consider our off-site forums (as that is where the bulk of our activity is had) it is not a necessary thing you have to do. However, as Iraq and the levant stated it is necessary if you wish to be put on our maps.
While I hope you will in fact consider joining the forums, it again is not necessary. Either choice I do hope you enjoy your time with us here in the Middle East :)

Arabia Islands, I think that's a great idea. If you haven't, please check out the forums (the link is in the factbook). The forums help nations to not only mingle with others here in the Middle East but also with nations in our sister countries. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me.

I should think the the Arabian Islands meant that as a region, each nation should have a strong relationship with its neighbors here in the Middle East. Build a sense of community between the members and make one's experience here in the Middle East an enjoyable one. Like I stated before, our forums (whose address is found above in the factbook) allows for such interactions, as well as interaction between members of the Middle East and our sister regions of the European Continent, Asian Continent, African Continent, and the American Continent. Beyond this regions however, we don't really have a need for relations with other regions though there is nothing against individuals who wish to keep relations up with nations of other regions (however we don't recognize them in RPs on our forums).
