The word 'conservative' is as much as a misnomer as 'liberal'. I mean, aside from social issues, what exactly are they trying to 'conserve'? Sure, the Republicans may base much of their policy on Ronald Reagan's, but even so their economic and energy policies would make them a neo-liberal party. Just look at the Democrats--they insist on using an archaic, out-dated theory of economics known as 'Keynesianism'. Wouldn't that make them the conservatives, economically?

I'd describe myself as a Reaganist libertarian, although the terms fusionist and neo-liberal would apply to me.

Ah, so that's when I knew I was a libertarian.
