Hello! Welcome to Kennan!

"Spring."
It's like Winter came back for one day and just slapped us and ran.

We had a very seamless transition between Summer and Fall, at first it was 38º C (100.4º F), then it became cloudy. The next morning, I wake up and it was raining as heck. Then, by 10 O' clock, rain stopped and it was sunny again. But with 14º C (57.2º F).

Was anybody able to see the eclipse?

Things are good, but the snow refuses to melt.

Four day weekend? Lucky... we have MCAS this week. It's a really long test that tests your strength in certain subjects. This year it's English... and we have to write a long essay. On the plus side, we're going to reach 60 Fahrenheit on Wednesday.

And I'm going to Boston for a Model United Nations conference Friday to Sunday. And we're currently planning on going to McGill University in Montreal, Canada next year for another one. So I'm quite excited for this week.

I also learned that there are "stinging trees" in Australia that when touched, release neurotoxin that causes extreme pain for possibly weeks if left untreated. One individual described it as being lit on fire, and electrocuted at the same time. Another British soldier shot himself when he used it as makeshift toilet paper.

I've always wanted to go to one of those too. I have friends who went a couple years ago, but my school doesn't offer it to us.

OMG neurotoxical toilet paper.

Schools offer that?!
I need to figure that out, I remember my teacher mentioned it.

Does anyone at our school know where we're going in the morning tomorrow? Someone mentioned homeroom, but I'd think we'd go straight to the testing rooms.

I still liked the analogy of Old Man Winter slapping us in the face and running off.

But still: Only the Avatar, master of all four seasons, could stop them. But when the world needed him most, he died under a pile of snow.
