Democratic party of America. Indian, I don't really know. I think I would however steer clear of BJP only because they seem very, very conservative. However, from what I have heard of Modi, he seems to want to make India Great Again. (No, I didn't mean to make that a Trump overture.)

I'm personally a Marxist, but otherwise my political affiliation is Democrat. The main reason for this is because I find the utopia of an ideal Communist nation unachievable.

CPI(M) and BJP,because I think Modi is a good leader and I strongly support Socialism and Democratic Centralism.

I am American, so I support the US Democratic Party, though in recent years they have become increasingly corrupt and more and more like their conservative counterpart, the Republican Party, and these are being brought front and center during this election. As a result, my affiliation is slowly moving towards Independent or a Third Party, preferably the Green Party.

As for India, I support the AAP, as I am a social democrat/communist and I believe AAP is closest to those goals. Plus, just look at their work in Delhi. Their policies would make India a haven for social democrats. CPI(M) and CPI are good parties but they too have become dominated by corrupt politicians, though I admire CMs such as Manik Sarkar of Tripura for their humility. They have also allied with Congress and sacrificed integrity for political gain, which I am critical of.

Idk man, politics has always been corrupt, but it could be worse. The Senate could still be the millionaires club. And sure, the Dems weren't always on the right side (Civil War), and have like one famous president (JFK), but their ideals to me are still more progressive and liberal than the GOP.

I'm anti-immigration and refugee acceptance. In Indian IRL politics, I supports BJP, and in USA IRL, I support the GOP, however, I do think Sanders is a great presidental candidate.

I knew there was a reason we didn't see eye to eye. Okay, but why are you against immigration and refugees?

Definitely so, but what is disillusioning is the lack of support for progressivism within the establishment. Though I understand that the Democratic Party needs the backing of corporate bosses in order to thrive in this democracy, or else we're stuck with conservatives. And with rhe right-leaning conservative fabric of this nation, it has become impossible to win as a progressive. The Democratic Party is perhaps the only vehicle to get progressive ideas out there, which is why Sanders ran as a Democrat.

I guess I can see that, however I still feel like the Dem Party is still the one moving the big progressive issues forward instead of the GOP. I don't think it is impossible, if anything, Sanders is showing a pretty good showing as a socialist, then it has to be pretty possible. I feel like this is going to be one of those elections that goes down in history, because of just how big it is. Many records for number of voters have been broken in caucuses across the country. Anyways, back to the discussion at issue, the Democratic Party has always been changing and its not always been the most calm. But, it still is the more liberal party of the two.

Sir thats a easy way to neglect our contribution to our nation, but for me politics should be a strong concept and should be taught to every children of the nation.you cant make a better nation with 100% literacy population than a literate population with a clear knowledge about politics...if a population is politically vigil then rest of the things will fall into place...no power is greater than the power of people...

As the quotes from lao tzu says,"govern a nation as if one cooks a small fish" its not as easy as it seems.."people are hungry ~ it is because those in authority eat up too much in taxes" and one cannot blame the politics for the mistakes of some crooks and my friend we must understand that politics determines our day to day activities excluding our own personal desires.
As from the famous words "you may not think about politics but politics always thinks about you".so dont even think that it is dirt...each one of our life will change by lunatic by the govt of the day...so politics is as great and as sacred...one should not complain from the nation which gave several administrators like chandragupta maurya, ashoka, akbar, rajaraja, krishna deva raya and many from down south to north of the nation.

Power corrupts.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

This is the basic principle defining politics.

A government free of corruption is the biggest myth of all. However a smart govt ensures that the people are unaware of corruption or dont let it affect the daily lives of the people. As an ordinary citizen how much would we care as long our daily lives are unaffected? Think about it, do we really care that much about bribing the police constable who flagged us down just to make our lives easier? We would rather pay him 50 or 100 rs than get ourselves inconvenienced. However it is when he demands 500 or 1000 rs as bribe that our indignation against corruption raises its head. Any person who wields power has a tough time to remain aloof of its corrupting influence.

This is why I have opposed AAP and Jan Lokpal Bill. The solution to corruption is not by creating additional layers of bureaucracy but by disincentivizing corruption. Besides we have already seen the self proclaimed anti corruption messiah stab everyone who helped him up the corridors of power and become a megalomaniac. Mr. Kejriwal was tested with power and got himself corrupted because like all idealistic fools he does not understand the nature of evil. This is why given a choice I would rather trust a known thief to be honest to his profession rather than an idealistic saint, because when idealistic fools fall they fall harder than the regular thieves.

Sir,in India, few political parties follow their ideals.Even the BJP.I support this party because as I said,I believe Modi is a good leader, and the current ministry is,well, doing fine according to me.Moreover, the recent budget that taxes the middle class and rich more heavily and eases taxes on the poor, seems kinda socialist to me.But then again, few dosent mean none.
I still here about how the CPI(M) aims to employ socialism. And as I live in the state of Kerala,The left front is one of the only options against the Congress. That is,until the BJP gains an increase in popular support.

I'll go forward and call this the only argument against the AAP ideology that I've ever found worth reading. Brilliant!

Regardless, I support the AAP. But this is very insightful and a well-written argument; much better than the typical "AAP-tard" that I hear all too often.

Indian Joint States, Nirupama, and Mhoreland

The AAP ideology and the Anti-Corruption crusade has always intended to stop corruption by stopping any processes that would possibly incorporate corrupt behavior; something akin to stopping the complete flow of a pipe when it starts to leak at a point not realizing that it is feeding essential social processes somewhere else. Kejriwal has saved a lot of money in infrastructure projects but the real way to go forward would be if he could limit corruption but focus primarily on what Delhi needs right now. We've had horrible experiences with pollution and crime and he needs to think about these.
