I think everyone but raiders thinks it detracts from the game. I actually can appreciate raiding; I think it might be fun to manually time updates and manage raids (I think being a peon would be boring; being a manager, on the other hand, is fun). But, it makes sense to me to restrict raiding to the raiders -- they can raid each other.

Are you going to be commencing combat operations against the Mokan troops? I assume SAD is Search And Destroy.
SAD is Special Activities Directive, a division of the National Intelligencery. Special Activities Directive is responsible for creating political chaos, sabotaging military command, etc... I was going to address that and other terms in a spoiler in my post but I forgot.
I'm mobilizing reserve armies to head into Castleclose, and preparing to attack, given your governments response. The Antietam Guard was also mobilized.
