Then return to where you got it for the next new arrival. Those things are expensive.

^This one is strong with the Force.

Welcome Eletya!

As for the conversation Coltarin started, I agree with him. But, I also think that others are correct as well. Like Imb, said the more regions we have embassies with, the greater our exposure. But, is exposure to non-RP regions worthwhile? (In marketing terms: are we targeting the right people?) Maybe we can compromise and jointly decide which regions to keep our embassies with and which ones we should close our embassies with.

^ This. However we've seen that despite everything this place can and has been targeted in R&D gameplay. I've always distanced myself from R&D, but we'd need friends in case we're in a spot of bother. A defender region or two wouldn't be too bad, but R&D specific regions we have embassies with that have little or no agenda with us does seem a little pointless.

The East Pacific and the UDL (unless anyone else has suggestions) would be good friends to have from the defender point of view.

And yes, I know we don't have an embassy with TEP yet.

If we really want exposure members should go out of their way to RP with the general pop and not in the region itself.

That would help as well, yes. We do have a surprising number of Mentors in GD, as well.

I have the hardest time rping in those open threads because I'm too slow of a poster.

I now, there's a lot of problems with the open roleplaying.

I mean, how often have each of us been in a great roleplay that the inactivity of one central person has completely derailed? It's a bit easier to figure out cannon in-region, and there's more of a "social" stigma against unannounced vanishing. And then there's the 100-post-a-day guys that 9/10 disappear within a few months and 1/10 become great, perennial RPers.

No pain, no gain. There's a reason I didn't become a mentor when it was getting started up :P, not for or against, just putting it out there if you guys sincerely want fresh blood. Well, you know, supplementing the whole taking players from other RPer regions ofc :3

My new Xiphos class SSN design is very nearly finished. It just needs a good proofreading. Please feel free to let me know if i've forgotten or overlooked anything obvious about the design itself. If there are no major issues, then it will likely go on sale before long.

I once designed a Kirov/Slava mix battlecruiser/huge missile bus/arsenal ship tower... Good times.

Needless to say, I know less than squat about Sub design. Good luck!

Thanks!

Got asked to be a Mentor once, declined for three reasons.

1. Lack of time.

2. I'm a very anti-social person.

3. Lack of time.

I got more than I bargained for

"They asked me if I had a degree in theoretical role playing. I told them I had a theoretical degree in role playing. They said welcome aboard."

And that's how every II Mentor got their job.

That moment when you're about to hand an R/D group the keys to the city (Not this region, of course. Doesn't even have a password :P)

Something we're very proud of.

Something I think best not announced here, since we made quite a big thing about wanting to be as far away as possible from R/D a while ago.

*shrugs*

We have an active founder and Lamoni has a good number of endorsements. At the very worst, we get a tag raid. Big woop; it's only a big deal if we make it a big deal.
