Being self-identified as an independent Democratic Socialist since 2009, when I first started hearing about Sanders early in the spring I was overjoyed. Many of my friends love Sanders and we talk about him a lot, even my libertarian friends like him over Hillary cause he's less big business and "anti-establishment" -esque (just look at his campaign contributions and compare them to Hillary). To clarify I love Bernie a lot more then Hillary and genuinely want him to win the presidency in 2016 however reality makes that point a real far-stretched chance.

Every week we see new articles and discussions about Bernie Sanders gaining or doubling in appeal when reality its really just visibility to Americans. What most don't realize is Sanders is still struggling to appeal to the broader base just like Ching said. And on top of that, many of these articles and discussions are biased cause when you look at them, yes, his appeal has doubled but so has the people who don't like him. Recently his favorability has increased from 12% to 24% but discontent with him has grown from 8% to 20%. And even when you do compare it to Obamas surprise nomination over Hillary, Obama had much higher favorability ratings (almost double where Sanders is now) when it was at this point in the race.

I still continue to share and have discussions with family and friends about Bernie Sanders to spread the word about him cause I'm a huge fan of him, especially on facebook. But realistically Clinton is so well organized and in the public eye she has so much more support.

Even then though, I think Bernie is setting himself up for not just the Presidency but a political trend that will continue to grow and strengthen after the 2016 election to get more people to notice how much the government actually does effect them and raise public awareness about social and economic policy reforms. I strongly believe his messages hes saying now will continue to resonate and get more people in-touch with changing the system and realizing a lot more that they can make a difference.

Oh man, I think the Trump campaign train just went off the tracks... At least I hope so, I mean, if the accusation your ex-wife made that you had raped her doesn't end you in the Republican primaries then I don't know what will.

It was never on the tracks.

It was never anywhere near the tracks. It was splashing in the shallow-end of the public pool.

I was playing Starbound and came to the conclusion that the future from a peon's perspective generally sucks. Its a messed up world out there. Yall should give it a gander. It is like Terraria in space but unpolished. Seems Terraria is making a Terraria in space too but anyways.

I kinda like the game with all of its flaws. Its another roguesque adventure. Alot of mods are online and it is still in beta.

One of my favorite things in the game is the loss of credits when you die under casual mode...sorta of a death inheritance tax for you billions of brother-fathers and sister-mothers clones in a future world that actually has no incestuous meanings. AdF does that to its plebs too! You die and those Revenuers come and take your goods.

The most amusing back history for me was that of Big Ape and the apex race. I see many of our glorious histories being rewritten by our most glorious founders...minus the traitors to the Founding, the dispersed and vanished, and of course the reactionaries the the revolution. It has amusing similarities to the First Emperor and any old piker of our current era of dictators. Ah the dystopia is intoxicating.

Well it might be a good thing after all. You are not corrupted by corrupted, greedy, capitalist western influences. Your people are far more equalized than the starving masses of Europe. Rejoice, Comrade! Your revolution is successful!

Now, once you reach the level of True Korea, your population will truly be liberated.

Though I'm a conservative Scotsman, have to say it's a progressive move in a good way.

I wouldn't call banning a useful technology "progressive", especially when the world's pop is 7 billion and rising.

Waiting for PETA's human vat-meat spam with a Ben and Jerry's human breast milk ice cream sourced from third world mammaries. Sad thing is that when I told some people about that they actually thought 1. I was seriously in support of PETA. More upsetting was that they thought that 2. Human vat meat and exploiting the poor in the name of saving animals was a good idea.

If Peta truly believes in the bolded part, and I know they endorse using human breast milk in general, then they should be confirmed as traitors to the human species. Oh sure it's terrible to oppress anything, but instead of oppressing cows for thousands of years let's grab human beings, milk them of their breast milk, and treat them like lesser beings! "Exploiting the poor to save animals" indeed.

For all their cries about us taking milk away from calves, for all their concerns about animal cruelty, if they honestly support such methods applied to other human beings then they should be treated as terrorists and eliminated.

I have seen arguments like: "To suggest that we should have loyalty to our own species is absurd. Dogs attack other dogs to protect humans. And it resembles similar concepts to racial supremacy (sticking with our own kind), condemning men for supporting feminism, etc."

The difference is that endorsing any race within humanity, or the concept of the patriarchy are social concepts. Loyalty to one's own species is generally a biological concept. Perhaps we are overpopulated and there really are "too many of us." Perhaps we haven't been imprinted or programmed to betray other humans by some 'greater power,' but to suggest that we put animals above human lives is to ignore biological imperatives. All animals want to reproduce, we are no exception. Because we are granted with sapience, we have the wisdom to realize that preserving human lives helps reproduction a lot more than attempting to mate with a tree.

PETA don't give a **** about animal welfare. They're best ignored.

Argh, my sis stabbed my dad in the back with a steak knife last night after she had stolen his computer for blowing $650 on some American made AK-47. He's fine, but she has the choice between this mental health center and jail.
