Honestly, socialism isn't that bad of an idea. When you word it like that, it does, but the way I see it, it simply equates to some of the taxpayers' money going towards welfare. It's taking the money collected from the people and redistributing to the poor.
Giving people who are down on their luck a helping hand so they can get back on their feet is a great idea. It's good for the people in need, and it's good for society. But that isn't what's happening anymore.
