The union of klotecnia

The union of klotecnia wrote:While I'm not Greek, I know that Greece has a poor economy due to high debt and other financial issues etc. (my knowledge). I hope the recently elected Syriza will improve the economy as well as the lives of many Greek civilians and bring up an agreement with the EU/International Monetary Fund regarding financial issues in Greece which should be beneficial to many Greeks* suffering in poverty.

Apologies for the double post.

*who are currently suffering under poverty

As an addition, corruption is unfortunately everywhere even in developed countries. No country in the world will be completely free from corruption and it is much more easier to lessen it than eliminating it.

So, according to nseconomy.com, I have the highest GDP per capita in the region. Go me, I guess, seeing as one point I had no economy whatsoever.

Good job.

South jarvis wrote:Whoops. The MoJ election is over. Congratulations, Borq, our new MoJ, by a margin of one vote.

The MoRP special election has begun. http://s1.zetaboards.com/DemocraticSocialist/topic/5813061/1/

Hurray!, I guess. It's quite unexpected. I had my money on Abstain. Thanks, everyone!
Also, thanks Eilean albannach for such a pleasant competition.

Alright so, as MoJ, make sure your election was legal and bring up charges if necessary. And get to work on that bloody purge I've been hearing about. Sounds lovely.

Oh, crap, WA proposal. It was submitted and got to vote in the last twelve hours.
The poll is up.

Economically you mean? Cuz civil war and a list of horrible diseases sound terrible regardless of how much money the warlord in charge is raking in...

Surprisingly popular in the initial round of voting for an extremely simplistic and short proposal.

It's a couple of bigger delegates. If we can establish a good a vote here soon, we can turn it around, though.

It caught me by surprise, too. After weeks of checking the GA queue, this one slipped by. Must have been a stealth campaign. Totally against. While I am against the idea of incest, that alone is no reason to repeal this bill. The benefits if it far outweigh any perceived disadvantages.

Incest only really becomes a problem in society when inbred offspring with neurological handicaps become more apparent. Either discourage inbreeding among incest couples or have the medical community find a way to genetically engineer such offspring to eliminate the physical and mental handicaps before birth.

Jeez, the WA is repealing like mad.

Followed by five godawful proposals. The first one is just a mission statement. The second one has grammatical errors in its only mandating clause.

I'll be back soon.

Greetings! I wanted to welcome myself, I'm the Ambassador representing A Liberal Haven, your newest embassy partner! I'm more than happy to answer any questions you have and engage in any activities you have going on in the region.
Cordially,

I am frankly appalled at the GA Proposal 'right to bear arms'. It is insanely unjust by forcing nations to allow guns. My nation, albeit we have crime, contains no gun related violence, and I'm one of the least corrupt governments. It thereby goes against the entire purpose of that 'resolution' should it ever become one, I would seek out to formally spearhead the instantaneous repeal of it.

I think bears should have the right to their arms.

Seconded. As a nation that is also very non-corrupt and crime-free without an overbearing police presence, I detest the pretext of this boneheaded microlaw. With its sheer lack of content, I doubt it will get far, but I would be glad to provide any aid in writing a repeal.

It won't by anywhere, don't worry.
A couple things are going on right now in the WA so better around for the state of the union.

School is out so we're getting a lot of young ones eager to present their primitive reflection of their parents beleifs. That results in a lot of bumper stickers and poorly conceived proposals.

Most of the real writers are caught up in the new rules discussion. A lot of writing on the forum has been suspended as a result as people don't want to maneuver around rules that soon don't exist. However this is short sighted and it will be months drive substantive change comes about.
I encourage everyone to participate in the rules consortium. I'd post a link but I'm on mobile typing this.

And finally, we have two people up to no good. Dark Star Republic can this stealth campaign to get his repeal into vote and I have a feeling United Federation of Canada is up to no good but I don't know to what end.

If you want the WA to change, get in there. The members can be a little agressive but it's all in good fun and we love people with questions and new ideas.

Would anyone be opposed to me creating a new diplomatic puppet for The Internationale? The current one is Dsa ambassador to the internationale and it drives me crazy since all of the other ones are the regions' initials. I'd like to create a new one (DSA Ambassador to TI) to keep a sense of continuity among our diplomatic fleet.

Communicar

I did think that was weird. Though I feel either way our ambassador names seem long winded

Oh, remember the Minister of Roleplay election is underway.

I've voted against the 'Repeal Sexual Privacy Act'.

Same. Klotecnians must obtain/have a gun license from the Commissar of Policing in order to use a firearm and undergo background checks (mental/criminal record etc.). This is a controversial topic in Klotecnia because people who aren't mentally ill and have a clean record may try to obtain a license and purchase a firearm prior to a planned attack. According to the Commisar of Policing, Klotecnia has little or no gun violence and same goes for crime.

It is currently under debate by the Klotecnian National People's Soviet (KNPS) about ownership of firearms by civilians.
