25th for least corrupt. Time to reinforce the revolution!
"Petrus, start 'suiciding' the public sector chiefs. It's tme for their replacements."

21st... hmm... I wonder who's corrupt in my "lovely" government of one, because it can't be me.

A new Poll : Sorry to make it another poll about the UK but they may get a vote on membership of the European Union, should they stay in or go? if you live within the EU would you like them to leave? is the UK a pain in the neck or would you like them to stay? if you live outside the EU do you think the UK can help you more from within the EU or does it make no difference, vote now. ( if you have a any poll you would like to see let me have the question)

I think they shoudl leave. They can maange on their own much better, without foreign good flooding their markets and withotu uncontrolled immigration which is very difficult for both their society and economy to handle and assimilate. The EU is practically owned by Germany and I don't think the UK wants German hegemony over it. After all the UK has been opposed to Germany and most other memebr states almost at every major vote recently so I think it's time this problematic relationship ended for the good of both parties.

The United Kingdom of Great Britten and Northern Ireland is the third largest in population, =4 to join and the third largest economy. Just because Germany and the UK have been voting against each other doesn't mean anything look rivalries take place all the time and especially in unions like the European Union there decisions matter to the whole Eur-asain content and probably most of the Earth. Also I am American live in the Southeast and have an extreme urge to immigrate to Canada.

Being from the EU I can tell you thsi rivalry is pretty serious. The too are bettling for hegemony over the EU ad since germany is the obvious winner, they're now trying to get a stranglehold in the British makret too. What Germany does is it funds its comapneis which buy out all other EU competition and close it down. That cause the crisis, amogn other things, in the South and to a alrge extent that practice is spreading to the top EU economies like France. The UK is trying to avoid that, that's why VKIP and the like suddenly appeared. That and the immense problem of unchecked migration.

About Canada, it's nothign special, but we do have free healthcare, Tim Hortons and Snow. Mostly Snow. And a mayor who does weed if you move to Toronto :D

I would vote leave unless it can be put back to the original idea of a simple trade agreement which seems impossible

My metro area was ranked 5th worst in the US in 2012 and here you have three job choices part-time work, healthcare, or education and all three are in short demand, I also have other personal reasons to want to move. Also I did not realize it was that serious, not to sound so ridiculous but the UK is a "mega" super power of the world with islands and the Commonwealth of Nations while Germany has none of that, and the UK doesn't participate in the Eurozone, Germany is bigger in population and size has the biggest economy and will win any dispute. They should really just be nice to each other. Can't they just do that?

The UK's Commonwealth, beinga Commonwealth, has nothing to do with them beinga superpower. It justs boosts the Queen's ego a littel and has some sports games. All memebr nations but the UK have no UK authority over them.

The Uk's age as a superpower ended with the Siez Cannal crisis, prvong they can;t do anything without American support or approval. When they fought the Falklands War without US help they lost Aircraft Carriers and Destroyers worth millions if not billions. Right now they're in deep recession.

Germany on the other hand can and does easily dare stund up to the US. Germany has the EU as its "commonwealth" and is one of the few coutnries whoose economy has grown much better since 2008. That is because of their growing economic and politcal hegemony over the EU. The UK is trying to avoid that but leaving the EU will probably be their only chance. Why do you think they never adopted the Euro?

I am formally changing my vote based upon latter analysis and discussions within this board.

Nice coat of arms!

Well, as a Bulgarian studying in England, I wouldn't want to see UK leave the EU at least until I graduate and settle down. :D Otherwise, I agree, they don't really benefit from this "partnership". They're a great country socially-wise, but barely have a presence on the global and even regional political scene. There's no wiggling around the fact that they're the pushover of the EU.

Are you thinking of settling in England?

For a little while maybe, and then I'll head off to Japan, get married, and settle there for about 10 years, then head back to my home country. That's the plan, at least.

Oh, Japan? Interesting. Also as you people know i'm going to Canada when I can afford it and get citizenship and then I am going to Iceland, <Promises not plans.
