Flibble.

Hello Folks! Haven't got to the map yet because I have been distracted by a new factbook.
If you haven't seen my main one yet, please check it out and give it a like!

Here is the new one I was working on, trying to recreate my lost wiki pages.

Below are the current (as of 2026) important government officials in The Voltarum, established in 2024. Elections are held every 5 years, the next scheduled for October 2029. Elected officials are sworn in on January 1st of the following year.

The members of the Executive Branch all are elected from the Legislative branch, the High Order. The Executive leader of The Voltarum has the title "Premier." As of a ruling in 1959, a Premier may only serve two terms. The Premier also serves as Commander in Chief of the Voltaru Military. The Vice Premier has little official duties other than being the first in line of succession. In the event of a tie vote in the High Order, the Vice Premier serves as the tie-breaking vote. Checks and Balances similar to other western governments exist in the Voltaru government as well.

The Premier and Vice Premier

Premier
Leita O'Shea

Voltaru Democratic Socialists

Age 59

Trajan, Pario Province

Leita O’Shea is the 17th Premier in Voltaru history and it's fourth female. She ascended to university at the age of 16, and earned her doctorate in physics at the age of 22. She immediately went to work for the government in their nuclear power division. It was quickly apparent that she was not only gifted in science, but in public speaking and became one of the faces of the nuclear power industry in The Voltarum. She quickly decided that politics were just as excited and decided to run for leadership in her home town. Long a popular figure in her home city of Trajan, she was elected at the age of 32 as its Praetor. She only served one 5 year term before becoming Province Pario’s Prefect. She ran unopposed to win her second term.

At the age of 47, she moved to the national stage and became a member of the High Order representing Pario. She immediately made her mark on the Order, becoming so popular that she was appointed Chancellor of Energy during her second term. She was easily elected to the High Order for a third term in 2024, and her colleagues elevated her to the Premiership shortly thereafter.

Vice Premier
Cian Fitzpatrick

Voltaru Democratic Socialists

Age 60

Beckinsale, Novus Province

Cian Fitzpatrick comes from a very old Voltaru family – his ancestor was one of the first settlers in the Voltarum. Some part of his family has been involved with politics for over 100 years, and Cian has been instrumental in keeping this tradition going. An engineer by trade, he was elected to the high order at 33 and finally ascended to the top of his party. Some claim a bitterness toward O’Shea getting the leadership ahead of him, but he is viewed as an intelligent and effective member of the Order.

Other Important Officials

Speaker of the Order

Jillian Dooley

Age 45Beckinsale, Novus Province

The Honorable Jillian Dooley is the current Speaker of the Order, the member of the High Order that is in charge of presiding over debates and votes in chambers. Just elected, she is the youngest Speaker in the Order's history. Though young, she is extremely popular in the VDS, and is seen as an efficient presiding officer in the Order. Dooley comes from a prestigious family in Beckinsale, and was somewhat of a child prodigy, earning her undergraduate work by 19, and earning her medical degree by 25.

High Court
Chief Justice

Justice
Atticus Kane

Age 65Súl Dorcha, Niveus Province

Justice Kane has been a member of the High Court of the Voltaru for almost 40 years, and has served as its Chief Justice for almost half of that time. A traditional Democratic Socialist, he has consistently ruled following these ideals. He is universally regarded as one of the greatest legal minds in the nation, and his decisions have been the topic of study in law schools for over a decade.

Ambassador to the
World Assembly

Garil Mecet

Age 38Ohm, Sapientia Province

Garil Mecet has been the Ambassador to the WA for almost 4 years, and at 38 was the youngest Ambassador in Voltaru history. An author and lawyer, Mecet has won several literature awards in The Voltarum, and has been characterized as an outstanding public speaker and extremely personable. Many believe that he will eventually run for a position in the High Order, but he has repeatedly said that his work for the WA, specifically his work in championing the world hunger problem, is his passion

Ambassador to the
Antarctican Assembly

Alara Stormbrook

Age 58Laidir, Sententia Province

Ambassador Stormbrook has represented The Voltarum for 17 years in the regional organization of Antarctica. As one of the oldest nations in the region, The Voltarum has enormous sway over regional happenings, and Stormbrook has been adept at toeing the line between using that power effectively and flaunting it. The result has been a peaceful and cooperative Assembly for most of her time served, and nearly universal respect for her and the Voltaru nation.

Viceroy of the Navy

Admiral Ja'rod Kathon

Age 63Argyl, Idoneus Province

Admiral Kathon comes from a family with a long history of service in the Navy. Today, he is in charge of the massive Voltaru Naval fleet, considered one of the most fearsome in the world. He is fiercely patriotic and seen as gruff and a stickler for the rules, but he has served his country well throughout his 45 years of naval service. His position is also head of the Air Force of the Voltarum.

Viceroy of the Army

General Sabine Hartley

Age 60Trajan, Pario Province

General Hartley is a relatively new appointment as Viceroy, having assumed the role on the death of General Kanut. Hartley is viewed as less personable than her naval counterpart, although it is evident that there is a hint of jealously from Hartley over the prestige the navy has. Hartley is in charge of all ground forces in the Voltarum.

Press Secretary
of the Premier

Mitchell Drake

Age 42Ohm, Sapientia Province

Mitchell Drake has advised the Premier's office on dealing with the media, and is the figure most seen dispensing news from the Premier's office.

134th in terms of nations, but 34th in the world in terms of population. Fun!

Deranged mutant killer monster snow goon

Sorry for only introducing myself just now.

My name is Odo O'Connor, supreme leader of the Deranged Mutant Killer Monster Snow Goons and, as our population, name and currency would state here for reasons of climate :-)

For the moment I am not sure about how many time I will spend for my nation, but be assured, although I am quite a leftist philantropist I will have to lead my people with an iron fist and possibly as little personal freedoms as possible. They are only Goons anyway.

Greetings
Odo

"Shi* Zombies"
100 Million Zombies attack Antartica

Phew, they attacked Antartica. I am glad they missed us!

In other news, there is a very good chance we will have some visitors in our lovely region here soon, and they won't be as nice as the Skeleton Army. Anyway, feel free to throw snowballs at them.

Flibble.

If you guys wish, I know of another holiday Antarctica may have.

2 hours ago: H2so4 ceased to exist.

This looks sadly familiar.

Zombies. In -52 degree weather. Can you say "snowsicles"? Ha! http://www.wunderground.com/weather-forecast/Antarctica.html

•4 hours ago: The Water Bottles are Full of H2SO4 arrived from Balder.

They're heeee-re!

Whoa, how did this happen? I come on here, and it says that H2SO4 ceased to exist, only for the nation to later join our region. Can someone explain?

Once your nation ceases to exist, you can still get the nation back and have it be "refounded." (or respawned heh) When you do this you arrive in one of the sinker regions (Lazarus, Balder, Osiris and I think there is a 4th but I forget it...) and then have to return to your home region.

Delovinomino

Oh, okay. Well way back in 2012 I had a nation called Tiggerland in the region of Two-Cans-And-String that ceased to exist and I was unable to recover it because I didn't know about the recover option at the time.

The feature may not have existed yet.

The recover option has always existed as far as I remember. I joined in 2004, so maybe it's just been that long.

I'm pretty sure that at some point, the recover option consisted of sending Max or the admins an email and saying please. But I was thinking of a change that was more recent than 2004. Probably the one that made it so names of nations that had ceased to exist could become available again eventually if the nation had just been created and promptly abandoned without ever reaching a decent population.

Yeah, I remember when that change happened. I also remember people abusing a population glitch to gain double the population per day, around when I joined. I'm pretty sure anyone who abused that glitch got to keep the extra population they got.

Yeah. I was just unaware of the recover option at the time...

So is everyone doing fine? I didn't know if any nation in Antarctica was affected by the data leak. I wasn't.

Greetings my Fellow Antarcticans!

After a nice warm summer, the Department of Interior finally got back from Vacation to once again update our map and regional census. While our population has grown, so has our GRP, with a over $2000 increase in GRP per capita. For the first time since our department took over this census, The Voltarum hovers on not making the top 20 in GDP. Truly our regional economy is thriving.

There have been little changes to the map, as the Polar Bears have stayed clear of our more established regions. Welcome Wilkes Land, Antartika-Ghadon, and Lake Vostok to the map!

Yours with Respect,
Chancellor Haru Yamada
Voltaru Department of the Interior

As far as the data leaks, apparently one of my telegrams that another nation had saved may have been seen. I don't send many telegrams, so I was rather surprised to see that lol.

Luckily I wasen't affected.

I was curious to see how my citizens were doing with the amount of space they are allotted on the map, so I did some approximate calculations. With a population nearing 23 billion penguins, it's estimated to be about 1 penguin every 200 square feet, which is still plenty of space. They will reach the point of 1 penguin per square foot at around 4.6 trillion penguins.
