In other news, because we need good news, I spent the day purging voters from the rolls. Thanks to the "National Change of Address" (NCOA) we can determined who moved out of the county (or in my case the state) and process the voters accordingly (making them inactive).
National Change of Address (NCOALink) "is a secure dataset of approximately 160 million permanent change-of-address (COA) records consisting of the names and addresses of individuals, families and businesses who have filed a change-of-address with the USPS".
We basically process this once a year, but it's a get it done now job, so I'm working Saturday and on the President's Day holiday. I love getting overtime pay (and lunch money which is paid in a separate check).

Does anyone here know of a region that wouldn't mind a Future Tech nation based on the Battletech/Mechwarrior universe. I'm considering creating a grizzled, burned out semi alcoholic mercenary to mostly haunt the Stranger's Bar, but will occasionally make visits to the Festering Snakepit whenever they try to regulate mercenaries, the military, and War Crimes.
I could drop the nation here, but it really doesn't fit the region.
The Pleiades is FT but you probably already have a puppet there. It's also not very active anymore, so if you're looking to interact with people that's probably not the place. But feel free to send it there, if you don't mind boring. :D
