The North Pacific isn't being couped. Crushing Our Enemies just has a weird sense of humor. ;)

On May 31st 2014, two weeks after I was elected Delegate, NationStates had a World Census Report for Most World Assembly Endorsements. At the time, the world top-10 consisted of nine nations of The North Pacific, with seven of them being in the Security Council.

While satisfying, this result was not perfect. Seeing that, I issued a challenge to The North Pacific Security Council: If, in a following World Census Report on number of endorsements, all of the world's top-10 nations are members of both The North Pacific and the Security Council (with the possible exception of the Delegate of course), I would hold a regional celebration in honor of the Security Council.

On December 7th 2014, NationStates once more had a World Census Report for Most World Assembly Endorsements. The results are shown below.

Looks like it's time for me to hold my end of the bargain. Let's celebrate!

What's happening?

From December 8th to December 23rd, we will be celebrating the Security Council of The North Pacific. Each day, one of the Security Councillors will select Hms unicorn's flag, pre-title, and national motto, as well as set the World Factbook Entry for the day.

The schedule is shown below. We will also add a screenshot every day of what Hms unicorn's nation and the World Factbook Entry looked like on that day.

Awww, and here I was hoping to relive the old times :(

Not me. There's a reason I'm not in TNP anymore. Dealing with 2 coups was more than enough. :P

Ah yeah, I never had to really deal with those. Just from the sidelines, while snacking popcorn.

Yeah, coups tend to be more exciting when they happen to someone else. In general I think drama/hostilities in NS can be interesting/fun when it's between more or less clearly defined groups (e.i. the NPO-ADN conflict). Conflict inside a community, not so much.

That's true.

Inside a community, trust is invested into your fellow community-mates, and that trust is broken severely. Not very nice.

While between two groups, trust was never there to begin with :P

Even then there's still defections though. Depending on the person in question those can be plenty destructive as well.

True, but it's on a smaller scale than the other, where a whole community pretty much breaks apart.

Arguments with friends are indeed the worse kind of arguments.

The Blaatschapen wrote:True, but it's on a smaller scale than the other, where a whole community pretty much breaks apart.

That tends to happen only to new regions. I can't recall any region that's older than two years breaking apart due to internal disagreements.

Eh, I'd say the TNP community pretty much broke apart up to and during the Pixiedance coup. Things got incredibly nasty and we lost a lot of good players.

Going through the '05 TNP Revolution was enough for me, that and the constant forum changes. :(

Well I should qualify by saying my observation is true...except in the case of feeders...those always have drama one way or another because they have no foundership and any new delegate can throw out the entire Constitution and start over with a new gameplay orientation.

It is why I think feeders make bad long-term allies. There is no "long-term" anything with them unless the feeder is run as a dictatorship like TP.

Haha I read "North Pacific and "couped" first. Got excited then was left gutted. :(

There seems to be a coup at least once a year in the Feeders.

A coup a year makes the Durk cheer :)

There's truth in that, Blaat. xD

Although who am I to talk about "old times" when I haven't been here two years. Y'all have been around since almost the beginning.

Is your classification a reference to the new Pink Floyd album, 'The Endless River'?
