There's nothing wrong with not returning an endorsement. Personally since my WA nation is out of the region so often I don't usually return endorsements, since they'll disappear anyway as soon as I go on a defense. The 2nd reason I don't automatically return endorsements is that I "grew up" in a feeder, where unknown endorsement traders were often a security threat, so I was always very careful about who I gave an endorsement. Honestly, there's plenty of good reasons someone might not want to return an endorsement and we should respect that.
