Yeah. That makes sense. Although when there are countries with dark-skinned immigrants you have to wonder where in the region those dark-skinned people came from.

Also, I always Imagined the Aseemyen looked like Inuits or Tartar peoples. Am I close at all?

You're almost one-hundred percent on base. Aseemye people are very similar in appearance to the Inuit, although generally they get a little more sun.
