In any case, Salmond has won, and so has SNP. Salmond was forced to take the stance of Yes which he didn't really want - he wanted Devo Max more.

And anyway, the exodus of Labour voters means that the Labour base in Scotland will be shifted to SNP (which I presume some said Nay - not surprising since they might be richer SNP voters). Labour also had the hard stance of being in a rock and a hard place - having to go with No and looking like betraying their constituencies - which Miliband's little act with Cameron looked a lot like.
