The Grand Duke preaches unto everyone in the international community about monopolising power and granting it to the highest echelon of society, yet he was weak and lost power to his own advisers following his father's death. He was unable to purge his Government of all those unfit, corrupt individuals who led to the sorry state that his nation finds itself in today. And even now how is unfit as a diplomat and statesman to rule with competence over the State of America. Yet it is not for me to question the Despot's decision to elect him as Minister, for my role is to obey and wage war.

I will regain my former power one day, Minister of War. For now, I am biding my time until a good time is now. In addition, as for those traitorous individuals, I could not detect their treachery before I lost power. That I will admit, and is something that I sorely regret. However, there was no way for me to detect treachery; I am not omnipotent.
