I'm starting to think that letting companies mine Uranium near the rain forests is a bad idea.
I let them, I think. Didn't really help my economy while almost crippling my environment. Took about 2 weeks to get the environment back up to not horrible.

The Equinoxian of the Day is........ Moskauofstalin! A nation where freedom of speech is so held dear the motto insults any who dare to take it away! When visiting make sure you check the Union's schedule because they protest almost everyday about something thats bugging them. The top economic threat to the government is the black market Lemonade stands, which are being ran ruthlessly by 10 year old children.

Which do you care about more: the environment or the ability to build nuclear devices so that you can crush your enemies (by nuclear devices, I mean *wink* generating peaceful energy)?

Yeah - NationStates isn't your typical game; your country's fate is decided through issues that have a difficult-to-predict impact on your nation. You can go on the NationStates forums and have a look at exactly what each issue will do to your nation, if you'd like. But you will have to wait for the Uranium issue (which is usually one of the first few you face)
We have a system called guilds in this region, and each guild is its own political party so to speak in regional politics and each guild has its own military. We have a link to the forums on our World Factbook Entry at the the top of Equinox's region page.
