We're getting reports of scattered gunfire near a communications relay. So far, all long-band communications have been cut. We're sending this out via ULF. Reports are also coming in about troop movements towards the area. Other than that, we really don't know what is going on.

For those viewers not 'in the know', a communications relay is a large bank of interconnected computer banks, responsible for relaying signals via fiber optic cables to their proper destinations, as well as regulating the flow to ensure smooth and uninterrupted connections. They were developed during the technology rush twenty years ago. As all Changeling Monarchy cities are locations anywhere from 2km-6km underground, wireless is unreliable, and thus they are the only reliable methods of moving signal traffic.

However, one being taken down can result in a total loss of communications. In addition, the dedicated AI needed to run the arcane-technology mix is very expensive, and thus the communication relays are easily disrupted if something were to go wrong.

So far, Changeling Monarchy, Lunar Underground, and Marrow Wind have been doing war stuff. Now some sort of hostiles have invaded Changeling Monarchy.
