I've seen Communists with economies rivaling mine. You don't have to have capitalism in this game to have a good economy but it certainly helps. Just switch over to a command economy. You still have to deal with damage to the environment and will have to balance it though.

The game is also playing against command economies and there aren't many issues for it. To my knowledge there isn't a single command economy issue that actually improves your economy YET at the same time you still get more capitalist issues. The difference is that you have more control over them. Weird little niche there.

Yeah, more or less. You can exploit the system though and have a frightening command economy though. I've seen it done, if you need to you can take a brief look at The Communist Bloc and look at a few of the people there. Particularly government members.

I mean, democratic socialist with a powerhouse economy here. They rebalanced the economy a while ago, and I went from a complete crash to powerhouse quite quickly without doing anything really. I think they've recognized the pro-capitalist push and readjusted some of the buttons here and there.
