I need some new earbuds because my last skull candy pair crapped out. I need them before I fly home this Christmas season.
It's not really a positive thing. Basically, retail stores offer products at rock-bottom prices and people line up at store open and swarm to be first the grab the marked down electronic crap. People have died in these events.
And now it's coming to the UK, oh joy
Let's hope the UK isn't so consumerist. Not to mention Black Friday is tied to American Thanksgiving.
My dad's wife doesn't like the idea of American tradition things coming to England.
Some traditions are cultural/learned. They don't translate well sometimes.

I'm surprised I have never heard of it then :P I am one of those people who totally rejects the idea of American celebrations coming to my country. I hate the idea of Halloween being celebrated and forced upon people who don't wish to participate in it (it has gone a bit that way in recent years). Black Friday is meant to be a day to be careful! Friday the 13th... ooooh... Not to go out and kill each other over shopping!
Still not in Ireland yet thankfully. We do public brawls well :p
