Hmpf!

I can't decide whether to get a PC or a Mac. I like the idea of getting a mac, mainly because they are more stylish and the image if I am honest.

Discuss.

Get a PC, with Linux on it if you want. Not the biggest fan of microsoft, but they make good gaming machines and I like them slightly more than Apple. Last time I had iTunes on any computer, it acted like a virus, except from an official company.

I have never used linux before. I'm not a programmer, so I don't think I would need it.

That was just a suggestion. No one creates viruses for Linux, and its neither Microsoft or Apple. Not as many programs for it though, YMMV. If possible, get Windows 7 or Windows 10 if you're going for a Microsoft device, because Windows 7 is aight for an OS, and I've heard Windows 10 is pretty decent.

Call of Duty: World at War is decent, especially the zombies. All the others are mediocre to bad.

I only like the first one. The Stalingrad levels and North Africa levels in particular were good.
Besides, most "horror" bores me, I actually got bored of Dead Space halfway through. It's probably just being too genre-savvy or just plaindesensitization but nothing scares me anymore, it can make me jump withsurprise but not actual fear.

I'm not the most bothered by Horror either, thought I still play the games because they're entertaining and provide a little bit of suspense, which is fun in games.

While knowing how to use Terminal (basically a command-prompt for Linux) is useful, it's not actually necessary to use Linux for most purposes (unless you get a distro like Slackware which requires Terminal commands just to install the thing).

Personally I'd go for a PC with Windows 7 or 10. The hardware is often cheaper for the performance and it's much easier to upgrade your device if you need extra power. With that as your "base", you can dual-boot Hackintosh if you want the features from MacOS as well. Giving a third hard drive/hard drive partition over to a good Linux distro is also highly recommended.

Hmm okay, I just thought Linux was mostly used by programmers and people with a lot of computer knowledge. I am not one of those people.

You're partly correct in that Linux is very heavily used by programmers and experienced computer users (many jobs for programming and advanced computer use actually require experience with Linux as part of employment requirements), but it isn't only used by programmers et al. A lot of disciplines that use computers extensively use a Linux distro as their OS of choice, although it is significantly less used for personal computing. All that said, many Linux distros do not actually require any advanced computer knowledge whatsoever to use (with the only exception being when trying to install it alongside an existing OS in a dual-boot configuration, which is actually reasonably simple and easy to do); a lot of recent distros are meant to be at least as user-friendly as Windows and Mac.

Yeah, which sucks because it means there aren't many games you can play on Linux OS's

Some games have come out with native support for Linux, but it's still not hugely common sadly. WINE is usable, but it does cause performance issues (and not all programs will even work with it). Most people I know who use Linux extensively for personal computing multi-boot it alongside a Windows installation of some kind, possibly with a Hackintosh as well; my old computer had five different OSes on it at one point, although I've held off on excessive multi-boot systems since I got my new machine because I don't want to screw it up to the point that I can't install Windows 10 and keep my existing Win7 installation at the same time. I'm also quite lazy in that respect as well.

Yeah, I'd have Linux on my computer, but my parents are both in their 50s and aren't the best with Win7 either and the lack of game support. I love my Steam a little bit too much to switch over.

Hi Guys :D honestly I'm just bored in class... and whenever the teacher walks by I just open up my government pie chart so it looks like I'm studying something. She actually started asking me what I was looking at and I had to lie so hard. I said it was for my government/economics class. All that's besides the point. So what's the whole zombie event? Kind of curious to what that's all about.

Every year Nation states gets hit by a zombie apocalypse. You can either join kill of cure them. But no matter what your in it to win it

Also I remember when I was a fledgling....I had never been on the rmb before. I just didn't like to talk to people online, I was kind of afraid of everyone. When the zombies came though I hopped onto the RMB and got very involved. I coordinated alot of cure missiles and talked with just about everyone. And now today I'm happy to say I'm not afraid of online chat anymore. I actually scare people on lots of other forums I can on now. Circle of life I guess

Halandia, you need to get a custom map.

What do you mean?

CONFEDERATION OF HALANDIA wrote:What do you mean?

I mean flag. I keep typing map when I mean flag. You should get a custom flag.

I don't really know how to do that
