I'm fairly certain how I'm going to have Trachae set up. Constitutional monarchy, no prime minister or president, the congress is directly elected by the people, and the monarch recommends the policies and goals for congress. The history will be mainly western European influenced, with the congressional morals mirroring early 20th century United States.

Also for my nation I am thinking of having a Australian/Tasmanian/Maori Culture and having only being recently discovered, and still being stuck in primitive ways, with only little new technology coming in. Also I am thinking of doing an RP (PT) where a nation discovers mine and then the process of colonization/mapping begins, with countries fighting over hegemonic/trade rights in my nation. It would begin with one nation sending out an explorer and having that explorer stay with my people for a while, then come back to the "Civilized world" and talk about the riches of my nation, then other nations would become interested and attempt to gain influence in my nation.

Brit and I were thinking of having a large regional RP where people can post about regional happenings and events, and when a major event comes about we can make a separate RP thread for that.
Depending on how far in the past that is though, I might still be a dominion of Britcan.

That's true. Perhaps your character who was on the expedition stayed behind as an emissary to my people. Also just saying at this time we would be divided into a bunch of Iwi (chiefdoms) so there is potential for conflict and power struggle.

If he was put in charge of the expedition then he would probably be primarily loyal to Britcan and not a Kherkovian nationalist. We're not exactly going to use someone who was anti-Britcan as our emissary.
Well would you pick Pruko-Kherians for it anyway? And besides that means when RPing I still won't be able to influence the tribe.
'Britcani' has never really been an ethnic term and Britcan has never been ethnically homogenous, so if they see themselves as Britcani and are loyal to Britcan then we likely wouldn't care what province they were originally from.
You're right about influencing the tribe, unless you feel like spreading Britcani ideals.
I'm not sure they would because of the culture in the two countries.
