Neutral about the situation in USA. I'm more worried about the political/economic situation of Brazil.
Really, a 100b deficit?

I and Lieb had an awesome experience Sunday night, and i will try to post the resulting photo at the IDU forums. After Hillary spoke, and she went down the seating area where I and Lieb were sitting, and she spotted Lieb, and her aide took selfies even though I was in the second row! Also met Bill not five minutes later as Lieb and I were trying to get towards an exit (so no photo)! And we were at our precinct caucus last night, and a columnist from the DSM Register took a picture of the check-in tables (we were being signed in at that moment), got interviewed by a reporter from Finland, and both nights other media photographed us as well. (I always carry Lieb in these sorts of situations as she likes being at eye level and is very secure doing so.) Talk about a crazy 48 hours! I have also grapped the newspaper photo and will try to post that as well.

US budget deficit is in the 16 trillion dollar range, but annual deficit has now fallen to its lowest since before the Great Recession began. We haven't had a balanced budget since the final year of the Bill Clinton administration (2000-2001)

I know I'm a bit late to the currency poll, but the DOCA (Dollar of Charis and Aberdeen) is a fiat currency and a hold over from a regional currency union.

Better late than never.
Anybody else?

I think you can close that poll, and create one asking "Do you believe that Pizza is the best food ever and Coffee is the best drink?"

------------------About the new council--------------------
Are we decided about the recreation of the council, Sanctaria, Bears Armed, Grellania?

One proposal I am thinking about is establishing an unique currency for all the IDU nations. (Like in the European Union)

Grellania wrote:Sorry I've been so late on responding to this, I still love you, I apologize, baby come back.
In all seriousness, I would see no issues with this.

And... done.

The current poll will close in a few days' time anyhows, and if we do subsequently discuss pizza and coffee then I'd rather do so as two separate topics rather than by linking them together.

In my opinion any Regional Council should consist of all regional members (maybeso with some qualifying period of residence required), although with an effective one-vote-per-player (rather than one-vote-per-nation) policy in place.

A regional currency has already been tried here, the 'conargo': Only some nations chose to accept it (with the Bears being among the ones that didn't do so...), and I'm not sure whether it's now used by any nation except The IDU.

But pizza and coffee are so similarly good!

I'd rather Council to have all nations that are at least 1 year in the region should be granted the title.

I am almost caught up in RL. Last weekend's surprises left me and Lieb very tired the last couple of days.

We are always tired after we spend some days out of home. I know how it feels ^_^

The Coldbar, contrary to the "bar" bit, isn't a bar or backed by bars. It's a fiat currency.

Sorry for the late post, but I wanted to say that I think it's wicked cool that you participated in the caucus, Grosse! It must have been exciting to have been a part of such a close race! I was hoping for Bernie Sanders to pull through in the end, but that's what makes the primary season so exciting, I suppose.

Here are some species of birds that don't exist on RL Earth but can be found in Bears Armed. If you're interested in any of them then TG to Raven Mail -- which I'm using as a spare inbox -- and I'll reply as soon as I can.
Green-&-Gold, or ‘Flag’, Pheasant
Heather Grouse
Kelp Grouse
Splendid Tree-Duck
Saw-billed Steamer, or ‘Odder Duck’
Wading Goose
Fishing Owl
Grey Butcher-bird, or ‘Laughing Ghost’
Cerulean Hoverbird
Jade Hoverbird
Flame-wing
Northlands Blue Parrot
Cross-billed Parakeet (also found in northern Malabra)
Kitt-Robin

The pheasant is probably found in northern Malabra too, unless that nation's owner objects, and the Cerulean Hoverbird could be there.

Grosseschnauzer, do you want any species? The ranges for both the Fishing Owl [which actually takes more water-birds than it does fish, but never mind...] and the Kelp Grouse, at least, could easily extend down from the Northlands & Old Ceorana into your coastal areas. Oh, and so could the range for a 'Marine Kingfisher' species which I didn't include in that earlier list...

Give me the linkURL to the current map; I've no idea where the schnauzerlands were most recently placed. And if there's any showing the spieces range for the birds, that would help. (I probably am going to include the white head bald eagle and the purple eagle as one of ours (in tribute to the resurgence of the American bald eagle throughout the continental U.S. even in urban environments), the cardinal, and a few others once I have a chance to THINK about it.

Following new legislation in Trive 38, protest songs are the nation's de facto anthems.

Appropiate, since I ended up installing communism in my country; good it'll be over soon.

YES!

Holy scheisse. 3 days of regional inactivity

Oh new world census rankings on the way!

On another note my citizens are behaving like spoilt children - I've given them an awesome country to live in and and did everything for them but as time went by all they wanted to do was run around naked, marry their cats and strike due to 'unfair working practices'.

Okay - fun time over - let's show them that you don't realise how good something is till you've lost it ;-)
