Working fine over here.

Sometimes I fix old computers for a guy I know, the type that still runs XP and are borderline child abuse

blank screen,no other info - ended up fixing it by removing the graphics card and running the monitor off the build-in stuff from the motherboard, seems the connection motherboard --> graphics card was busted

Sometimes,less is more

Luckily, the forum starting working again for me within a few minutes.

Perhaps some of you can answer the following issue I'm having with Chrome: when Chrome has been on for multiple hours, sometimes the screen starts pixillating--sometime just at the edges of the screen, sometimes major segments of the screen, occasionally the entire screen. I can close and open Chrome and it still does the same thing. More disturbingly, sometimes after Chrome has done that, then the desktop does the same thing, occasionally other programs, too. The only way to get rid of it is to reboot--occasionally a cold reboot.

I've scanned multiple times for malware and found nothing.

This system is only 2.5 years old, so I particularly hope that the motherboard isn't wearing out.

Any ideas that might save me a visit to the Geek Squad?

BTW, this first happened right at the beginning of the Zombie Apocalypse, so I thought it was part of the atmospherics, but it has persisted long since.

I use Chrome and have never seen that problem.... From the sound of it either Chrome is having a conflict with the video card (or the on board video controller if using the built in graphics) or the video RAM (on vid card or RAM on the motherboard) might have a bad stick/card.

After the better part of a year, haggling, changing, suggesting, negotiating, we finally have version 1 of the 2014 Constitution ready for a vote! Follow the link in the WFE, read the two sections (it was too long for 1 post), and see what your democratically-elected leadership has come up with. You have until 22 December, 22:00 EST (that's 10 pm in Eastern Time for Americans). :)

One person among all the many helpers particularly distinguished himself: Discoveria. Thanks to him and his eagle eye, this Constitution is infinitely better than it would have been otherwise, A BIG BEARHUG (woof!) to him and my many thanks!!!

Welcome back, Gaiyland!

RIP, Second chance republic.

A HUGE congratulations to Gay Equality, whose mostly inactive founder finally signed back in and handed over the password to two trustworthy compatriots! Now Disc and others can come home. :)

Condemn Vandoosa Dreiundzwanzig was defeated 7,907 votes to 3,377.

Thank you LGBT: I'm on it's way...

Welcome back to Gay, Banyuwangi!

RIP, Aeuron.

Gay Equality is back to normal. Thanks to all those in Gay who helped us through a difficult time.

(Spanish Africa)

Just curious:wasn't Spanish Africa an ambassador from nudist dreamland? not to distrust him,but wouldn't the password rather fit with an native?

And I notice we're building embassies with Anarchy

<3 my old friends ~ I wonder how Yoriz is doing

Spanish Africa has not been the ambassador from Nudist Dreamland since taking a 'particular interest' during the most recent crisis. At the moment two of us are acting jointly as founder. How that is to work has yet to be decided, but that decision will be made by residents of Gay Equality.

If you have a nation in Gay Equality, you may voice an opinion there.

To clarify, I am Justin Fashanu in Gay as ambassador from Nudist Dreamland. and am in several regions one way or another. My presence, as someone who logs in daily, can help to stabilise Gay Equality in the short run while the membership decides where to go from here.

Thought so,ignore me then - I tend to want to cover all possible security leaks, even the far fetched ones

Justin Fashanu (= Spanish Africa = founder of Homosexual Love) why didn't you tell that just after the raid?

Anyway, I lost everything (including my valid endorsements)...

Who have blue eyes anno 2014?

Actually,SA isn't the original founder of HL,but rather received the password to the nation

Homosexual Love has been handed to different operators twice now in order to keep the region going. I wish more founders, who are about to cease to exist, would do this. This is especially important in a large region or one representing a particular community of people where the founder has a responsibility beyond himself/herself.

Thank you !

I lost all my valid endorsements, anyway... :(

You got my vote :)

Have people been trying out Rift? It's quite cool.

As with the Constitution, we want to protect ourselves from being raided, but we don't want to become so tightly-wrapped that we become a mummified police state.
