The Purple Banner – Origins & Design

Haha now I understand.

You know we refer to the pictures that appear on the front page of the nations as 'banners' in the NS terminology. So I was confused about what the banner was. I didn't know you were referring to your old flag. By the way, it's my favorite one among the ones you have used so far.

Oh, ha! It's my favorite too, the design is very simple yet attractive. I love the look of the "pine-branch" emblem and the shade of purple.

I was screwing off in class one day and I had been using the Canadian flag as a filler and the idea hit me. Got Microsoft Firework opened I recolored and centered the emblem and I ended up with this.

What I love about the shade of purple is that it is not to bright, yet not to dark, nor is it pure purple. I've had instances where the color settings of a different computer made the imperial purple appear more maroonish, and let me tell you it still looked quite impressive.

This may be the current setting of all my devices, then. I also don't see your flag as quite purple. It is more like fuchsia, I would say. Dark-pinkish. Is that what you refer to as 'maroonish'?

I'd say it is more of a red wine color (which is actually the name of a color; please don't be offended); kind of maroon with a pinker tint to it

It could be your eyes to, people process colors differently.

Maroon is a very dark shade of red by my definition.

Yeah, maroon has a variety of shades/tints. A good comparison is the University of Minnesota uses a very dark red maroon while Central Michigan University uses a purplish maroon, similar to my imperial purple.

I would call it a dark magenta.

Reddish-purple.

Precisely! That is the exact hexadeicmal code. The origin of the code came from the Tyrian purple Wikipedia page.

Did you choose this colour for a special reason? Wikipedia says that this colour is 'royal red' or 'royal purple', was this historical issue an incentive for you to adopt this as your flag colour?

I chose purple because of its historical ties with monarchies and royalty, and later took this historical tie made it meaningful in the flag.

..."the imperial purple bands represent the Montmorencian people and their loyalty and love for the monarchy...".

The name imperial purple is just an alternative name for royal purple which I came up with.

Purple is my favorite since it is my girlfriend's name.

That's a very interesting name!

Hello everyone!

I have written an issue again, but this time, before hastily submitting it, I have shared it in the forum. I'd be very happy if you could comment on it.

Thanks!

I don't know if you might want to spin off the last couple of lines of option 2 into its own option. @@ANIMAL@@ Go's namesake is getting kids (and adults) outside in the fresh air and getting some exercise while levelling up and chasing stuff down.

It is a good suggestion but it might be a too positive outcome. But it can be slightly modified to be more ambiguous. I will consider this:) Thank you.
