First option is the better one. For those who can race, they'll be able to race and racing means spectators, spectators means ticket sales and food vendors, ticket sales and food vendors means tax revenue. The 2nd option is just throwing more money at police who'll crackdown on all racers, even those who can enter competitions, while also causing a tax rate increase that really doesn't help anything. However, the first option also means noise pollution for those in the race track's surrounding area. #2 may be NFS: Hot Pursuit...but at what cost? The cost of...dun dun dun..."FFRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!" -William Wallace
Freedom is choice, choice is freedom. For every choice you're denied, it's one less freedom you have. Choose freedom. Choose choice.
What is a freedom, and how many bullets does it take to kill it?
This would probably not be a good time to announce that I'm now in the Top 10% of nations for Most Pacifist, huh?
This month's contest will be haiku writing! It is currently up and running on the forums at http://s4.zetaboards.com/EquinoxNS/topic/10347622/1/
Haiku's are a Japanese poem of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five, traditionally evoking images of the natural world.
Examples:
An old silent pond...
A frog jumps into the pond,
splash! Silence again.
Haikus are easy
But sometimes they don't make sense
Refrigerator!
The theme for your haiku - The Unknown.
This month's winner will receive 200 Equins and a copy of Fortix on Steam!
Your haiku must be original, and can not contain any profanity or grotesque violent stuff. Please use good judgement and fairness!
We're also hosting a Medieval Fantasy themed Role Play for the month!
If it says anything, I was 10 the other day for stupidest in Equinox. Yay, Nazi/Helghan/Krieg inspired government!

We are, its on our offsite forums where the quality of activity is much better than a RMB.
Couldn't wait more than a minute for a reply, sooo no loss for us.
The Issue
It has come to your attention that there is some serious debate over whether Yivania's postal service should be either privatised or nationalised.
The Debate
"The postal system ought to be privatised," says Lauren Yivaniana, Director of PostHaste, a small package delivery company. "All the government is doing is putting the tax Yivanian Dollars of hard-working citizens into an outmoded and wasteful system. Private businesses can offer a much more efficient system with less junk mail. A little more expense on stamps is worth that right?"
Accept
"Uh huh? And what about those in rural or remote areas?" asks Bharatendu Mombota, the CEO of Yivania Mail, the government-owned postal service. "If you privatise this business then they'll get marginalised and ignored. With a nationalised service everyone can use the system and cheaply too. We provide a good service for our customers and have been doing so for a very long time! The postal service should be nationalised and all competition banned!"
Accept
"There's plenty of room for compromise," says Sashona Cohen, a stamp collector. "How about we just privatise the mail system and allow other competitors to move in but continue with government funding to Yivania Mail? That way everyone can get their post and the companies can have their own slice of the pie. It'll require an increase in tax to cope with losses to competition but not too much. I think. To be frank, I just want more stamps."
Accept
The Government Position
The government has yet to formalize a position on this issue.
Opinions? I feel like Option #1 could boost my economy. But #3 also looks pretty tempting.
Nationalize it. People eat that crap up, then you shoot them. Simple.
Yes.
Happens to me all the time.
Greetings folks! New to the region, but I'm a 10+ year vet trying to dig my way back into NS. How are y'all?
Pretty good to be honest. Yourself?
About 10.
Welcome back to NS! Hope you enjoy your stay here in Equinox!
