Dorne of sunspear wrote:I am going to allow Veneza to die a good a peaceful death, and will be replacing her with Dorne. Map wise, what I want will take some negotiation. San Juan, if it is possible, could I have the area of Southern Iberia that came under control of the Almohads? Something along these lines?http://i.imgur.com/YJMbvrx.png I think the interactions of countries would be wonderful to say the least. If not, that is ok.

Sorry for my absence, I'm in the final stage of the course and therefore very busy.

Regarding the map and the negotiations, I bring a win-win proposal. First of all, I completely understand your petition if you are Dorne because Southern Iberia is completely like that (I have been recently in Toledo and Granada and they are more than wonderful, pearls of an empire). About me, I have to say that I have interests in the East so this is my proposal:

-The lands I'm going to cede are aproximately Andalousia, Extremadura and the provinces of Toledo and Ciudad Real, in terms of the area.

-My population is aware and agrees with the possible change as well as the intentions of the government in the Balkan Peninsula, but they will have to migrate if I "lose" those lands.

-The land I cede is about 164,086 km2, you can calculate it.

-I claim in exchange Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, the district of Istambul and the European part of Turkey. I have calculated it by regions and districts so the numbers are very accurate (ask me for details if you want) and the count ascends to 147,288.31 km2

-Losing 16,797.69 km2 but glad with my lands in the Balkans and giving you exactly what you have asked, amazing and wonderful lands (seriously, if anyone can visit one of these cities you must), I think we both win with this treaty, and I agree with you regarding the interactions.

Here I bring the map of the proposal to see it grafically: http://i.imgur.com/M7iKZ7b.png

I hope we can come to terms.

I like it and agree completely, but the final decision has to go to our region's cartographer. Synaxis, is that ok? No one to my knowledge so far has ever claimed any of his requested territories.

Mm, some nations have longstanding claims, actually.

As for this discussion, it does seem peculiar...not to mention for the first period of establishing nations, I would really much rather keep the borders as they are on the map for the time being.

I am overjoyed to see your region alive and active once again!

Praise God!

May God Bless You All!

Well Juan, let's hold out on this deal for a bit. Let's wait and sort this out. I don't see the great difficulty in moving borders, as not every nation fits within the 1918 world map, but that's your decision not mine.

I don't see either the difficulty, I'm completely willing to make the changes, but as it seems we will have to wait.

And, Synaxis, if the problem is that longstanding claims it would be good to know them, just to consider them in these issues, because we couldn't know about them.

We reset the map?
I need to do the following again:
Conjoin both of my claims
Take the Czech Republic
Take Alsace-Lorriaine

I do not wish to impose however, I won't claim anything 'till everyone's got a fair chance.

We could just add San Juan

I agree with your claims on Czech Republic and Alsace-Lorraine. I want to know if you agree with the negotiations between Dorne and me we have recently talked about here in the RMB, just to make the process easier if everyone agrees.

Just to clarify for everyone who didn't see. Dorne is me, formerly Veneza, formerly Il Borgia Vaticano.

Glad to see your still active. Wish more of the old guard were still at least somewhat active.

Aye, the nation switch is how I keep myself active. When I get bored with one nation, I replace it with another that fancies me at the time. This only happens once in a great great while, so Dorne shall be here to stay for the foreseeable future. I was quite literally doing nothing with Venice, so why not do something with those fiery and poisonous Dornishmen? By far the best region in Westeros.

I feel like I need a geography lesson here. Who and where are these dornishmen?

Don't worry about your geography, they are from the universe of Game of Thrones. I think they are depicted in the Dorne of Sunspear's factbook. They are my favourite too, along with the Starks.

That makes a lot of sense. Thanks. I've never seen game of thrones

Maybe you should, I think it's one of the best series I've ever seen. If you like politics, history, good plots, tension, fights... you must.

"The Dornishmen are the natives of Dorne in the southernmost part of Westeros. They have a reputation for hot-bloodedness and sexual licentiousness. They are viewed with some mistrust and rivalry by the people of the Dornish Marches in the neighboring Stormlands.

Dornish culture has First Men and Andal origins, but is mostly influenced by the mass immigration of the Rhoynish people who settled in Dorne during the Rhoynar migration. Their influence can be observed in many Dornish customs, like equal rights of women in inheritance law, the status of mistresses/paramours, and more permissive sexuality compared to the rest of the Seven Kingdoms.

Dornish lords wear silk and satin robes with jeweled belts and flowing sleeves and favor light armor that is heavily enameled and inlaid with burnished copper, shining silver, and/or soft red gold."

"The Dornish are crazy. All they want to do is fight and f**k, f**k and fight."~Bronn (Game of Thrones TV series)

And if you have the time you should read the Song of Ice and Fire book series. You can take your time with it because its long and unfinished, as the author is taking a jolly good time to write the next installment. Although he has promised it would come out before season 6, next year, the last installment was released in 2011 (?) so I doubt it. Its really good though, and has many more characters than the show (which is shoving others together to make up for this i.e. Ellaria=Arianne and Sansa may =Stoneheart) and is more detailed and riddled with complicated plots and real prophecy, war and betrayal, real magic but in a realistic setting. The universe itself is huge and diverse. I recommend the World of Ice and Fire to read with it. It shows so much more! From the land of always winter to Asshai-by-the-shadow, it has everything.

"Always keep your foes confused. If they are never certain who you are or what you want, they cannot know what you are like to do next. Sometimes the best way to baffle them is to make moves that have no purpose, or even seem to work against you. Remember that, Sansa, when you come to play the game."~Petyr Baelish, A Storm of Swords

"On the seventh day, a cloud of ravens burst from the towers of Dragonstone to bring Lord Aegon’s word to the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. To the seven kings they flew, to the Citadel of Oldtown, to lords both great and small. All carried the same message: from this day forth there would be but one king in Westeros. Those who bent the knee to Aegon of House Targaryen would keep their lands and titles. Those who took up arms against him would be thrown down, humbled, and destroyed....On wings as black as pitch, Balerion plunged through the night, and when the great towers of Harrenhal appeared beneath him, the dragon roared his fury and bathed them in black fire, shot through with swirls of red.

Stone does not burn, Harren had boasted, but his castle was not made of stone alone. Wood and wool, hemp and straw, bread and salted beef and grain, all took fire. Nor were Harren’s ironmen made of stone. Smoking, screaming, shrouded in flames, they ran across the yards and tumbled from the wallwalks to die upon the ground below. And even stone will crack and melt if a fire is hot enough. The riverlords outside the castle walls said later that the towers of Harrenhal glowed red against the night, like five great candles … and like candles, they began to twist and melt, as runnels of molten stone ran down their sides."~The World of Ice and Fire, Aegon's Conquest

So I get Alsace and the Czech Republic?

Post self-deleted by San Juan de Sinka.

Blyskalia wrote:So I get Alsace and the Czech Republic?

For my part, yes, you can, but Synaxis is who decides about the map. I think that even if your claim is accepted you will have to wait at the beginning because there are some "moves" you can't carry out till the map is settled or something like that I heard :/

And if you can tell me if you agree with the negotiation between Dorne of Sunspear and me, the land cessions and claimings we talked about here in the RMB.
