The facts that Dallas' public transit agency is called DART and that its governing body is called the DART Board please me.

what, you don't like traditional and non-degenerate convoluted compound words like kiuruvaikalatarhuiskavinnarellasalavariinenpisto?

aww

also even helsinki has a larger rail network than dallas, kek

did you just write random words or did you actually look those up on a dictionary?

because that thing reads "lark or fish [gibberish] whisk [gibberish] secret magpie [gibberish] needle"

Admittedly, this is because in Texas, very few people use public transport. Most people just use their car, or truck.

The one time i've actually seen large numbers of people use DART is when going to the State Fair of Texas, and that's only because driving to the State Fair means parking your car in Arlington if you're lucky and Waxahachie if you're not.

ok so i wasn't super surprised about helsinki having a better rail system than dfw initially because i was like "ok but that's because europeans actually use public transport"

and then i compared populations

the population of helsinki is 600,000, compared to dfw's 7,100,000; dallas itself has 1,200,000, double the population of helsinki

in fact

the population of all of finland is 5,400,000

there are more people living in the dallas/fort worth metropolitan area than there are finns

tbh the population of greater helsinki is over 1,000,000. espoo, vantaa, kauniainen might be different municipalities but if you look at a satellite pictures they're just suburbs of helsinki. they don't even have city centers. still, even my hometown of ~200,000 inhabitants is planning its own light rail system: http://image.citycdn.fi/01/45/84/78/78741e12d1a22ec7865403b029279c8b.jpeg

you have a lot to learn when it comes to public transportation, americans

As you know, I've made a fuggton of maps, logos, flags, coats of arms etc etc for you guys. Now I need to ask you for a favor.
I want to turn the Nevanlinna Metro system into a NYC style subway with express and local trains, different services and lots of branching lines. Basically, I want to turn it into a total mess IUwith three dozen lines and services. The thing is, I am way too organized to do that. That's why I'm asking you guys to draw me a rough sketch of what the system should look like.
Here's what it looks now: http://iiwiki.com/images/1/1a/Metromap.png
You can draw on top of the existing map with MS Paint, I can make it look pretty afterwards. All I need is sketches with lots of branching lines, local and express services and so on. Use this as an example: http://www.inat.fr/files/new-york-city-metro-subway-map.png
Many thanks

If you want it to be like the NYC subway, eschew all further visual representation, just add urine smell pellets.

My city of 600,000 is planning on building 1 13km light rail line that will be completed in 2024.

While after 6pm you're lucky to get one bus an hour. If my dad didn't drive me to work, I'd have to spent an hour on the bus for the time it takes 15 minutes to drive.

I'm making a poll. I'll have four major presidential candidates and the other slots will be filled via a random draw. Should I put Hulk Hogan and Norbert Hofer on the list of potential options?
