Anyways, I've become a decently tolorated member simply by staying, listening to advice, and generally being not emote spammy or bloggy. So, if you have a spine and learn quick, you tend to stay. Until you CTE that is.

Well.. Icrum, matey i'm still new here, and 88mm flak on a sub is still quite amusing. But yeah, best way to get along here is to not treat the RMB as an alternate tumblr tbh. But it wouldnt kill anyone to encourage new members to become more active.

The only way they really become super active is by finding other new members and rping with them first, and then they slowly become more and more experienced. Not through "hey please be more active!" and such.

I feel like when the activity really spikes back up again (Through the methods GB stated), the remaining nations will either be veterans of this regions so we'll get good RPs, or they'll be people who refused to accept defeat and stayed, which will allow us to mold their RPing into something great. Maybe.

People should get into two alliance blocks and then think of some way to start something between the two. That's basically how the first world war started.

Or we can pull a 'Murica and just bomb an unstable nation to bring it "Democracy", then wonder why there's terrorists.

In real news though I've finally gotten myself back together after my hiatus from NS. I want to bring back the Nobaduchi-Sakasuma War but seeing as how we lost a bunch of people left or CTEd I need to know who's still interested or who might be interested. If people want to TG me to get in on the game I can update the factbook and kick this sucker off ASAP.

Speaking of factbooks, if there are any new-bloods who want in I advise you check this out before TGing me to get the scoop:

The Nobaduchi-Sakasuma Conlfict is an ongoing political conflict in Ardelea between the ruling Nobaduchi Family and the rival Sakasuma Family. The Conflict started as a result of a Sakasuma-backed terror bombing in Nobaduchi controlled Tekina on February 3rd, 2016 and due to a current stale-mate in the balance of power, has forced both parties to look to the international community for aid.

Many foreign dignitaries as well as representatives from the other families were invited to diplomatic summits held by both sides to negotiate deals. Foreign nations included in talks were Mon Balvedos, Blackhalm, Igoria, Asirland, Kastovakia, The weltenbaum, Vaeroxia, and Nobique

Talks commenced between the respective parties on February 18th 2016 and concluded on February 24th of that year following long deliberation between the respective groups. Favorable deals were reached by both the Nobaduchi Family and Sakasuma Family, leaving both in powerful positions on the political spectrum in Ardelea.

The Sakasuma can boast the accomplishment of rallying the most foreign support, as they have managed to garner favor with the governments of Blackhalm and Igoria who have all promised a level of military support.

The Nobaduchi however have wound up with the most home-grown dossier of allies as they have allied many families of Ardelea to their cause in addition to support from Nobique and the Deitaou Association of Vaeroxia, though the level support from foreign powers varies between the two.

Since this time however the Sakasuma have lost the support of the Tagabana due to the combined threats of the Nobaduchi and their supporters as well as the deaht of the Tagabana's leader. The Nobaduchi have lost the support of their vassal in the Tosokabe, who have joined with Icrum in establishing a free state withing the Ardelean sphere.

Nobaduchi Family

Current rulers of Ardelea , the Nobaduchi Family have presided over the longest period of uniterrupted peace since the fall of the old Empire. Under their rule, the nation's economy has prospered due to their tight economic control of the other families, however this has come at the expense of the common people as even with the rise in economic prosperity, the average wage has dropped considerably. They presently also hold the largest military presence in the nation, though this is only marginally better than their Sakasuma rivals.

Now faced with opposition from the Sakasuma they aim maintain their dominion over the nation, and hope to relax international trade and relax economic sanctions should they remain in power. Overall however they wish to maintain the current status-quo with the feudal family system, through which they manage to preserve their own wealth.

Sakasuma Family

The main rivals of the Nobaduchi, the Sakasuma of Ardelea attempt the bring about a reformation of the old Ardelean Empire and a full unification of the nation. While not as economically prosperous or militarily powerful as their opponents, they have flexed their political muscle to rally many of the other families to their side, allowing them to somewhat level the playing field.

Their ultimate goal is stability under one government, a stark contrast to the fractured and divided state Ardelea presently finds itself in. They champion and end to the endless cycle of wars and conflicts across the nation, and end to media and societal repression and a brighter future for all citizens. It is unknown how many of these promises they might keep, and how extensive the reformations might be should they hold dominion over Ardelea, and their weaker position against the rivals and reliance on allies might make their dreams forever unattainable.

Other Families

Hisso
Rulers of the coastal city of Tanuma, the Hisso Family seeks to maintain their power-base in the region. They have allied themselves with the Nobaduchi, allowing them to use their ports as staging bases for naval engagements. They have the largest navy in Ardelea.

Adachi
Another major contender for the top spot, the Adachi have thrown their lot in with the Sakasuma, they believe their vast wealth could benefit the nation as a whole, not just themselves and believe that the Sakasuma plan will benefit the nation in the long-term. They contribute their monetary gains to the cause in order to secure arms and military hardware from overseas.

Asagao
A minor family in the Ardelean north, the Asagao have more selfish reasons for joining up with the Sakasuma. Their investments into the Information Technology sector has been punished almost routinely by the ruling Nobaduchi. They hope that the Sakasuma will allow that sector to flourish under their rule, and they also want to get even with the ruling family, which they believe had unfairly thrown up sanctions against them.

Tosokabe
While originally considered a non-entity in the growing conflict, the Tosokabe have since Allied themselves with Icrum to announce their secession from Ardelea to form The Republic of Asanagi. With the backing of a foreign power and capitalizing on the state of Ardelea, the Tosokabe seem poised to turn their young republic into a viable democratic state in the Ardelean mainland. Since this announcement the have received further support from Mon Balvedos and the Ulivien Union.

Uekaga
The Uekaga are a very enigmatic family, some days supporting one side, then the next joining up with their former foes almost on a whim, leaving their word almost worthless. Despite this, they have one of the larger militaries in Ardelea, leaving them a prime candidate to shift the balance of power in the region. This time however the Uekaga have made it abundantly clear that they wish to support the Nobaduchi cause, giving their family's heir as collateral to prove their resolve.

Tagabana
The only true champion of peace in Ardelea, the Tagabana family have almost renounced violence and only resort to military measures in self defense. The Tagabana, while have a small army, presently have the best equipped and most modern out of all, and their connections with other minor families can easily rally others to either side. They have retained their neutrality after the death of their leader and amid threats from the Nobaduchi.

Himowari
The oldest family in Ardelea, the Himowari announced their independence from the Old Empire in the late 19th century, and have maintained a staunch neutrality in Ardelean affairs. Surprisingly however, the Himowari have allied themselves with the Nobaduchi as they see a potential threat to their affairs in the Sakasuma.

He probably retconned it, but for a good year, Kastovakia looked like it was becoming a new Aranovita.

Anyone know the eta on map update?
