Use deviant art. It's what I use for the world map.
You can't really do that. You can search on google for a larger image if there is one but that's about it.
However, you can, using Adobe Illustrator(there is probably other programs which also do this) to convert an Image into vector which can be scaled in anyway without loosing quality. Although this will only work with simplistic Images like logos and shapes. Photographic images will not work.
