The origins of Yturia

Many legends tell of Yturia's origins in the ruins of the United Sultanates of Terrbia. These are only partly true. The true story of Yturia actually begins in the neighbouring nation of Erbos. Erbos was a small confederacy of states united against Terrbia. Terrbia was ruled by a council of sultanates who had absolute power, and though they tried to wield this power benevolently, they inevitably found themselves doing more harm than good. Erbos was determined to invade them and establish a free state without dictators. Alas, their plan was not to be; for on the day of the planned invasion, the admiral of Erbos' army (a secretive man by all accounts) was assassinated, and with him went the strategy of the invasion. Stuck in a perilous position, and with no easy option to retreat, they pushed forward nonetheless. The result is best described as a bloodbath. The citizens of Terrbia were slaughtered, and in retaliation they butchered Erbos. The ensuing war continued for decades, and as the two armies slowly killed each other off, a handful of ordinary people, primarily fromagers, from both nations escaped. These people became the founders of Yturia.

Of course, much of this story is lost to time, and truth is a fickle thing; but here, any further remnants of the story of Yturia shall be archived.
