Art, Music, Theatre, and Fashion of AnorLondo

Due to the peaceful nature of recent years in AnorLondo, a focus on the arts has been growing, to the point of dominating much of Undead culture. The decorate buildings left absent by the gods, have been repurposed, and filled by seats rod theaters, displays for sculptures and art pieces, and grand amphitheaters for music. This has been directly endorsed by the government, seeing this creative boom to be a reprieve from the world around them, filled with wars, pirates, crusades, and just plain bad governments. And it appears to have worked, but not in the way they expected. While it was a great boost to moral, much of what was created was to reflect on the world around them, creating less stress and anxiety, and more knowledge about what’s going on.
The art, which is a broad term to begin with, has been most prevalent. Before, most pieces made were a direct reflection of reality. Landscapers, portraits, sculptures and statues of the various gods. But while these still exist, many artists have begun branching out into their own styles, including abstract. The current pieces being made are either experimental, or further perfecting the realistic styles, using these new inspirations to capture the modern times of AnorLondo, and the rest of the world. So more famous and known pieces are; “The Royal Family”, a somewhat abstract family portrait of Gwyn, with several burn marks where his children and wife’s should be. (He was not a good father.)
“The Birth of Gizmo” depicts the arrival of Gizmo being born into this mortal world, surrounded by jellyfish.
And, a collecting of sculptures made of materials like glintstone. Mostly built in darker or more natural subterranean places, refracting light to create a natural, blue glow and design across the walls.
The theatre of AnorLondo has been changing as well. Whiles plays are still common, their contents have been changing. Instead of most plays being about the great wars and challenges of before, they now focus on stories less of valor and combat, instead focusing on fleshing out the characters and their struggles. The stories are more down to earth and attempt to capture everyday life. While the plays that still focus on adventures of valor and war try to make a larger effort to flesh out the characters instead of focusing on pure violence. However a new form of theatre has come to AnorLondo. After the invention of the phenakistoscope, and its evolution, drawn animation is now viewable in theaters, with development of more methods, including that of filming others, being put into the works. The fees are small to non existent, with most theaters being supported by the government, with it being seen as a corner stone of entertainment, and a tragedy for it either be shut down, or locked off for those without the funds.
Music of AnorLondo has also taken a step back from what would he considered “classical,” moving on, using new instruments, to create new sounds. Street bands and music clubs have become common place and it’s often that in some areas, the night is alive with music, all of different sound, tone, and feeling. Music is has become experimental as well, giving rise to new genres, and trying to push the boundaries of what’s possible with music.
Finally, undead fashion has been on the rise. While many citizens, even in the modern age, choose to wear their armor, more fashionable attire has been made, and has been gaining traction. Whole clothing more designed for men isn’t non existent, it isn’t quite common either. Most of the new fashion are more feminine in design, mostly consisting of dresses, large hats, resembling almost what a witch is known to wear, and other articles of clothing like it. Surprisingly, these style of outfits have been popular most of the population, regardless of gender. Style knows no borders I guess.
This boom in creativity is expected to bring a new wave of culture to AnorLondo for years to come.

L: I’ve realized something as of late. With all this pairing and drawing and sculpting, there isn’t really one of our leader, is there?
O: There was, but the most recent, if you could call it “recent,” was a statue, which got destroyed by their father. All the others are very old, and you can barely tell it’s them. Why do you bring this up exactly?
L: We could make one for them. Maybe not to be hung up, but more as a kind gesture.
O: Fine. I’ll go get them.

BANG BANG BANG
O: I know you’re behind this wall! Don’t lie! We need to talk.
G: How dare you speak to me like this. I am quite busy you know.
O: Listening to Femtynal and having little tea parties with Yorksha is not “busy.” Now come on.
G: What is it? Are you trying to convince me to send our aid in that war in the Lumshaw? It won’t work.
O: No. We wanted to know if you wanted a portrait done if you. That’s it.
G: Oh. If you have the time, then I see no problems with it.
O: Ok. I’ll get Laurence. But you’ll have to try your best to smile.
G: I think the fact that you’ve never seen me smile should say more about you than me. Just saying.

Militarization

While support is still high for the government, the Nationalists have once again gotten their agendas through the CDR, in which a large portion of taxpayer dollars is diverted from civilian manufacturing to military spending, allowing more growth opportunity.

The Nationalists are milking their majority until its dry, and it may take a while before its gone.

Pushed Back
After a long holdout siege, the Epirotans were pushed back and were forced to retreat but at a high cost of causalities. NCF has won the invasion but with catastrophic damage on the to town of Oboure. The nation celebrates and mourns the loss of the soilders.
