Treaty plans
Both Calidur and The United Ariabics have suffered 1.5 Million casualties combined. Diplomats from both sides go to a neutrality zone to find a peace treaty before the end of spring. If all goes well then the war will end at the end of this week.

This evening, at 2:54 on 27th of October, Multiple army officers charged the capitol building, where the Confederal Congress is being held. Currently, fighting is reported between multiple National Front members and local Socialistic and Republican militas. It is unknown what has happend to the leaders of the constituant nations. The situation seems tense, and from what most people can gather, the Putschists have seized multiple government buildings in Vivisaksoa. The National Front has condemned the "Degeneracy and Socialistic tendancies" of the republic, and has called on all members to resist the "Specter of Socialism and Democracy, which haunts our pure nation". The Labour Union of Mercov and the Asociated Federation of Mercovian Farmers released a joint statement demanding "All members of the Popular Front to strike, fight and agitate for democracy."

Mercov quickly seems to be heading towards the edge of the abyss. Only time will tell if the Republic can persevere.

Aralian Republic, 10 A.M.

Lord Daern gave a little squeak of joy as the head of his guard told him they were near the city gates. Him and his clan, while technically part of the great nine, lived much further north than the others. Burh Draka wasn't even part of the great caverns Taenari civilization originated in, it was originally just an outpost. This assignment from Wigamear would bring honor to the clan and to their isolated home. Daern had been an early supporter of the upstart first minister and was now reaping the rewards of his loyalty. Wigamear, he who had promised Daern and his clan the world, had begun to deliver. Daern clutched the parcel he held in anticipation, it was an auspicious gift. He wondered if his new friends knew they were coming. How would they be received? What did they eat? Daern's mind was filled with questions that his clan already knew the answer to. Burh Draka was dangerously close to the surface after all. How could they not've observed these strange, tall, hairless surface dwellers? Nevertheless, Daern still had one real question he would ask. Did they know of the Taenari at all before today?

Of course the Aralian citizens knew not of their soon-to-arrive guests and were suitably surprised when the usually picturesque countryside outside the capital began to move. Hills heaved upward, trees were uprooted, and the ground vibrated as dozens of Clan Daern's breachers carved a path for their delegation. The rolling mass of surface-level destruction as well as the tremors stopped for moment and many breathed a sigh of relief. Until one of the hills outside the city suddenly burst open and spawned squeaking, furry offspring. Alarms were raised and bells rang as the city mobilized to repel the subterranean threat. A series of earth-shattering blares from what was assumed to be war horns rolled over the city; sending many children into fits of tears and their parents into shock. They were further stunned when the invaders, instead of invading, seemed to be setting up for a picnic?!

Karithia 1 P.M.

Brughyll blindly lurched over to the side of the boat and expelled the rest of the day's rations into the hurling seas below him. He hated the "ocean" or whatever the human crew of the vessel called it. His surface languages were a little rusty. He fumbled to get on top of the box the crew has kindly set aside for him and his companions and wretched again. He felt the reassuring paw of Ailred on his back and attempted to greet his friend, only to be met with more of his lunch flooding from his mouth.

"You Barruks should really spend more time among the cursory clans." Ailred chortled, "Wecta knows you could use it."

Brughyll, finding a reprieve from the torrent he produced, scowled at Ailred, "I don't want to hear it, cousin. You're just as new to this as I." he spat.

Ailred grinned, "True! But in two months of travel I'm all better and you are decidedly worse." He patted Brughyll on the shoulder, "Oh relax cousin we're here! Look at how beautiful it i-"

"You know I cannot." Brughyll snarled. He knew they were close anyway. The city was deafening. He turned, "Quit your gloating and help me down then."

"You Barruks have been lording your lack of it for two centuries." Ailred retorted, helping his friend off the boxes and onto the deck, "Let me have this one moment of triumph."

Before Brughyll could snap back at his insolent cousin he heard the ship cruise into where it would be moored. The city was deafening. His snout and ears were overwhelmed with the sheer volume of smells and noises greeting him. It was far worse than anything he'd experienced back home. Brughyll assumed that Taenarian Burhs were as loud and smelly as any surface city but this was far worse. Ailred, noticing his cousin's obvious distress, grabbed him firmly by the arm and marched off the boat and onto the dock.

"Come cousin" he said, "Let's go find who's in charge.". Brughyll, completely overwhelmed, had no choice but to follow.

10:20 am The Halls of Aralian Congress
Once news of the startling "invasion" reached the Aralian capitol Panic ensued as congress members were all talking and shouting over each other and not much of anything was being accomplished. Aralia has never heard of let alone fought something as strange as underground invaders. Suddenly the doors to the hall opened and the chatter suddenly revealed to be all 3 of Aralia's leaders entered the room. Those three leaders being Garahj, Servine and Opgev. As the three leaders quickly managed to quiet everyone actual discussion began and after awhile a vote was cast and it was ultimately decided to send to diplomats with guards for protection as the apparent "Invaders" hadn't actually done anything yet and Aralian leadership preferred to take a more diplomatic approach.

11:15 am The Approach.
As the Two diplomats Varn and Florentine headed over they were a bit skeptical as to what they would find these supposed invaders doing as it had been awhile since the original eyewitness reports came in. The guards told them they had arrived and as the two diplomats stepped out of the carriage they saw exactly what had been described. Uprooted ground surrounding the invaders who appeared to have just finished setting up a picnic and even stranger so they seemed to be beckoning them over to join, so despite their skepticism and slight fear with not many other options Varn and Florentine told the majority of their guards to stay back bringing a few with them to go introduce themselves being cautious in their approach with the guards that stayed behind as well as some soldiers watching carefully in case something were to go awry.

State Overview and its Expansion - push Northwards!

Since the start of the century, Karnithia has naturally been growing, it’s population projected to double within the next thirty years as the cloud of war which once thrived like a Horrid storm in the form of the Riftblood invasion is now long gone.

The Invasion which brought a brutal two decades of fighting Having been crushed back in March 12th, 1802 at the Battle of Pelsia, but unlike the past, during the vampiric wars of old where the first battle of the millennia old war was fought in the fields that were 16 miles away from the fledgling city and within its fields. The Battle at Pelsia was the end of this undead incursion, the last remnants of the legacy of the Vampiric wars and the following wars of the Deathless was now gone, crushed under the boots of Men of the line, the pounding of Artillery pieces and the devastating Charge of the Royal Hussars.

The War which claimed around one and a half Million lives has ended, with no means of continuing it, no Liches, no ambitious lifeless lords, or Demented necromancers, a True end to the war has come.

But with the end of the incursion came the question of what direction the nation should take? After all Karnithia was not in a ideal position on the international stage with rumors going around during the start of the century with it having joined a league of like minded nations that valued Humanity above all, that wished to enforce their own influence upon the world. Although granted the nations that were part of such a league were scattered, some in close proximity, others half way across the world, like the Kingdom of the Isles, the once collapsed nation that would have solidified the naval dominance of the league on this side of the world.

It started with the Isles, then the league fell apart, within the span of a Year it was gone, a lack of proper interests and coordination, distrust being sown, but the irony in the collapse of the league was Karnithia’s stance in the matter. It held no true interest outside of its own, naturally, having been the first to sign the Terms of the TWO which would have tied the world more closely together with the establishment of new trade networks. It did not share the same values that was absolute domination over other sentient races, or the tolerance for the outdated institutions of slavery. A prime example of this was when The hand Karnithia extended to Dionysia, a nation which was selective in its trade to say the least, unwilling to trade with nations that follow the outdated institutions of slavery, allowing the establishment of the wine trade which was one of many steps.

Oddly enough even with the focus on its interest being put above all several opportunities were allowed to past, such as during the crisis within Navea where the nation was teetering on civil war given the discrimination against its elven population, a opportunity which could have been easily exploited in so many forms.

But even with the passing of such opportunities The nation focused on further development, its industries which barely had a proper foundation several decades ago thrived in comparison to the past two decades, in hand with it so too did its military.

Karnithia was booming, but with its economic boom and the rapid growth of its industries, many ministers put their gaze northwards to Karnithia’s neighbor, there was a vast strip of land unclaimed by either nation which laid to the east, ripe for the taking, so a expedition was sent into the lands that were to be named “Delicia” at the start of 1803. The Expedition was composed of 25 thousand men from the Royal Army in hand with a thousand men from the Engineer Corps who would lay the ground work for a new railway network behind the expeditionary force, several towns would spring up during the course of the expedition into Delicia as people were encouraged to move northward for Greater opportunities for Delicia has untouched by civilization.

A changing landscape
Efforts to exterminate salamanders and the rapid fires across Dionysia have begun to make steady advancement, much to the credit of the nations which have come to the aid of Dionysia in this crisis. But even in regions where fires have been put out, the land remains charred and barren. Estimations currently put lost crops anywhere between 40%-60%, and 71% of livestock have been taken from the flames and famine.

A group of Dionysian researchers came with their Palisadian on a ship back to Palisade, carrying safely secured salamanders in flame-proof containers. The group is going to focus on the local wildlife of Palisade, notably their sea dragons.

Given the salamander is originally from our continent we offer to send to aid to Dionysia should they ask for it to help combat this crisis.

Additionally our own local salamander population has begun to have mutations causing many experts to panic about potential implications on the local wildlife as well as to other aspects of the ecosystem. Efforts are already underway using both technology and magic to combat the mutation in order to prevent a crisis happening in our own country as well. And hey if all else fails we can always just send them to Aramer :3

Islands
As the situation at home has begun to very slowly die down, an expedition was sent out by the Queen. While Hellenos was mostly unaffected, there are few food crops grown in the Grand County, instead much of it's economy and vast majority of it's agricultural sector is based upon vineyards for wine making. Athonia was home to almost all of Dionysia's food, both crops and livestalk, and took the brunt of the famine and flames. This has already begun to cause massive effects to the Dionysian people and economy, and the expedition is intended to find better lands for cultivation, a quick solution to aid a small portion of the now missing agricultural production.

The small fleet Exerévnisi Téssera would take off from Dionapolis and head across the ocean to Palisade, to meet up with the research team there a month previously before moving to the southern oceans. They gathered information on the local sealife of Wetheloria before taking off once more, but now with the researchers. Moving southwards, they came to inspect the coastlines of the islands of Seylath. Observing the local wildlife and more importantly crops and plants in hope to find a new source of revenue for Dionysia, however only five were found to be worth investment in. They returned home to bring their findings and logs on the region back to the Court of the Cult to get approval and investments into a colonial project into the islands. The Court approved to finance the establishment of the region and two fleets would be sent to the islands to develop them and build a strong agricultural economy.

A major crop found on these islands was Louloditou, a crop similar to wheat. It grows larger but in smaller quantities in small bunches, as well as various fruit trees indigenous to the islands. The largest island is home to various animals, most notably a species of boar colonial authorities hope to begin to domesticate and farm.

As the morning sun rises above the horizon the citizens of Estralia wake up to move into their workspaces, the air is heavy as if everyone is expecting something terrible to occur at any moment, this has been the state of the realm ever since the current health of the Duke was leaked to the people of Estralia, while he has managed to maintain the realm stable through his wise and balanced rule, the moment he dies, which according to most doctors will happen in around 1 month if not less, the destiny of the duchy will be up to fate, on every park and street you can see a rally to gather votes for the future elections, whenever they may start, while wealthy nobles from each of the houses participating as candidates go into the shadowy corners of the nation to gain influence in the depths of Estralia, while chaos is unfolding on the streets the Duke is bedridden, his ventures have caught up to him as he is suffering from a deadly disease that is yet to be diagnosed by any doctors, all attempts to cure it have failed and all hope to keep him on the throne for a while longer have not achieved any success, while for a long time his health was kept secret, one of his men betrayed him after being bribed by one of the houses, which one bribed the doctor is still something the estralian police is investigating, in his deathbed, in the dawn of the 24th day of january, the Duke gave a small handbook to his son, the man ruling in his stead while he is bedridden, the book contained the last reforms he wished to start before the end of his rule, as he handed the book to his son, his last words were ushered:

"You are my successor, my heir, my blood, do your best to gain public support, and when you do, please complete your old man's last wish. May the future be bright and rich for the citizens of Estrali-..."

And so he closed his eyes for the last time, in a panic his old allies decided to hide his death from the public for at least a month to gain public support, however the Teinarian guard would quickly discover their plot, all the participants in hiding the death of the Duke would be executed, however, his son was allowed to live, as he was the only living candidate capable of running for his house, soon the news would reach the capital, from there the rest of the realm would discover the death of the Duke, and soon news would arrive to the rest of the continent, a 1 month period would begin to mourn the death of the kind ruler, most of which would be used by the houses to either buy votes from the few literate farmers in the edge of the realm or to advertise their house to the wealthy men of the capital, in the end of the 1 month period they held around the same amount of public support, soon the voting would begin to decide on who would rule the Duchy for the next generation, men flood to the capital to vote for their favorite party while all the other men and women not qualified to participate in the vote hold their breaths in anticipation, this vote will decide the future of the Duchy and its place in the modern world.
