Suggested to my friend to go and see Dune 2. Just recently saw Dune and got hooked.

Just a question and please no spoilers; as I live in Poland, all the options that I can watch include subtitles only in Polish. Are there bits that require english subtitles (like some conlang etc) or would I be okay with just the english audio?

There are several sections which require subtitles to understand, some of them are relatively lengthy/important. Bulk of it is still in English so it wouldn't be unwatchable but you'd miss some lines.

I guess religious holidays still aren't bueno with tge Supreme Court? 🤷‍♂️

Cheers. I might be able to understand a bit of it through Polish, but yea, not fluent in it.

Domanania, Ioudaia, Nhoor, Solaryia, Esterazdravo, Belantica, Kaskalma, Skilles, Takiv.

Would you Raedlon members be interested in hosting an Annual football (Soccer) tournament. The Raedlon Regional Cup ?

10 teams, 2 groups, play each other twice, top two teams from each group go to the semi finals > finals.

Why not. I'm also in for other sports like rugby or cricket or ice hockey or something like that.

Sure, why not? Going with what Nhoor said, we could evolve this into a Raedlon Olympiad of sorts.

Sounds like a great idea.

I have seen it 7 times. 5 of them alone, twice on imax. I could not resist... don't resist.

It is a new favorite of mine.

I watched Dune 1 yesterday. I'll find sand in my clothes for six months to come

Wangano will be hosting the cricket tournament this year.

Western Isles Jousting League?

Havalland wrote:Western Isles Jousting League?

There are only few people in Nhoor who know how to joust. Havalland would probably be for jousting what the Netherlands are for ice skating in circles or the USA for American football :)

Glorify the days of eld where we had a hoop and a stick. No greater display of athleticism and talent had emerged since then.

Tournaments are guaranteed to be an international mega-event

Everybody loves a good tournament arc

Would someone be willing to read (even a small part) of this and give me some feedback? I think it’s missing something but I’m not sure what. Also, it’s not quite done.

some things to think about:
- does your judiciary have the power to conduct judicial review - if so, where and to what extent?
- where are the key institutions located geographically?
- why is there five royal courts - is there significance behind that number?

"Before a bill can be passed into law, it must be deemed constitutional by the Supreme Court."
- this will keep your supreme court very busy... you should consider having a specialised court or allow them to review the constitutionality of laws as opposed to signing off on them in the first place

- is your upper house a house of review? if so, you should mention that
- you've almost completely missed out talking about your provinces - how are they governed? who governs them? are there branches? is your government federal or unitary?
- your president needs a popular majority - how is the election done, is it single transferrable vote, first past the post etc - is there an electoral college or is it a direct vote?
- how is the royal cabinet appointed, is it by royal decree/assent or can the president just do what he wants? in constitutional monarchies, typically the monarch appoints ministers on advice of the elected leader (though the elected leader pretty much gets whoever they want, the monarch is there for ceremonial reasons)
- how are committees in the lower house run/appointed/administered - who can create them, who can remove them, which are the important ones, are there ones that just perpetually exist to oversee certain things?
- "The Judiciary protects the integrity of the Constitution and the rights of Kaskalman citizens." - the typical phrasing is the judiciary applies the law - your judiciary isnt just going to deal with constitutional stuff or rights based stuff but also environmental stuff and basically whatever the legislature can validly get through
- do you have courts in your provinces, below that of the district court's jurisdiction?
- where do appeals go? do you have to get leave or special leave to appeal to a higher court?
- what are the main political parties? what do they believe in? are any more popular in certain places or amongst certain types of people than others?

Hey Ainslie, its good to see you are still here and a few familiar states. How have you all been. I realize its been over two years since I logged on.

Happy to report im slowly starting to feel alive again after a long time and much ill health. The melancholy never really goes away, though.
