There's that one lottery number - whoever endorses him with that number can request among the things mentioned

I mean you heard and saw nothing about a secret golden lottery ticker of endorser #

Calm down. You can fix that later with new issues.

Also, you're a pretty good artist.

From the Office of the Prime Minister
Hello South Pacificans,

hope you're enjoying the festival! :)

Our laws have some interesting and lesser-known corners. In Article VI Section 13 of our Charter, it's said that we can appoint deputy ministers and advisors as junior cabinet members (without voting rights). Before the Great Council in 2016, it was quite standard to have 1-3 deputies for each ministry partaking in Cabinet business (without voting rights), but cabinets since the Great Council have either not let their deputies take part in Cabinet business, or not even have a deputy at all. We're not going to change that - we'll continue to operate without deputies in the cabinet.

However, the charter also explicitly mentions advisors. Given that we are a pretty young cabinet, an older player, one who's been around the block a few times, and is universally trusted, would make a great advisor. Well, we have one of those, freshly out of a job! I'm very happy and proud to present our new general advisor in the Cabinet, Tsunamy! He won't be assigned to any specific ministry, but rather will just help us four cabinet ministers reach good decisions for the community.

As always - I have a question fetish. Please indulge me <3

How long does the delegate remain in office?

Yeah, every issue changes things 0.01%, and for some reason every issue increases my taxes even when they explicitly say in the option that it'll decrease taxes (or it'll not change taxes at all if it says it will increase taxes). I'd just like to smack around whoever is making these issue effects. Complete insanity.

Lol I'm not sure how you can tell that since the picture is so small.

Until they are voted out or they stop running for delegacy (or #3, they are forcibly removed by a coup). Each election cycle is typically 6 months in January and July.

The vast majority of effects from issues aren't directly coded into the issue, but are secondary effects resulting from a complex game engine. Your nation is a bit of an outlier, being both predominantly anti-business and anti-government, but still with a strong economy, so the simulation is going to have some strange effects. If you want to report any issue effect you disagree with, you can do so here.

I wasn't born in this outlier life!

I will be writing in that thread for the rest of time. ;(

I'm finally not the only nation here with a score over 1000 in today's category. Still leading by a long way at least.

Not sure how my taxes got so low compared to yours BCP, not something I really aimed for until recently. I know what you mean about the small changes though - most issues change it by 2 points at most.

I think the key word in that is "unexpected". ;)

I might be a little bit late, but I would like to know why the South Pacific closed the embassy with the West Pacific?

There's an explanation in the QuickNews from the 25th.

I am still only on 13 #1's for now though, as in the category where I managed to get the top spot pretty much by default earlier in the week (Manufacturing), I have dropped back to 2nd. Guess I'll have to keep trying a bit harder.

Editing yesterday's post, I'm up to 14, not 13 for now as I'm currently ranked #1 (just) in Manufacturing - think it's the most I've ever managed at one time. Pretty much back to where I was before they changed how a lot of categories were ranked a couple of years back really, when I dropped from (I think) 13 to 5 #1's.

After four weeks of conquering weak neighbours, removing democracy (almost) and beginning to form an organized religion, Crizztopia can now somewhat call itself a true kingdom.

The voice: (Milord, what shall we do next?.. )
King: (You know what we do next.)
The voice: (Oh dear...) The king announces that he will attempt to stage a great coup d'état in the next election! He plans to take over the South Pacific! (Milord, this is only your first year and you don't even know how to run for an election!)
King: (I took this country, soon I will take this region, then I shall take over the entire world, and finally, the universe itself. That was the plan from the beginning, my voice. Never fear, all will fall into place... eventually.)
