NATO is western military arm that harmed millions of nonwesterners across the globe. BRICS is political association of largest nations, not military alliance.

And what is social imperialism? Imperialism comes from the Empire and that mean economic or territorial expansion. You cant have social expansion, you can kick or eliminate other society, but thats not imperialism, but genocide.

BRICS might become imperialist, but they'll be lesser evil. They are already using modern international mechanisms to pursue their interest; trade, culture, politics, finance. You have to really really push them in order for them to use force, like the military.
Unlike G7/EU/OECD which use threats, embargo and military force whenever someone say no to them.

Popularity matters, nations and people are willing to stabilize their countries and trade with the world, why would they support western wars across the globe that destabilizes their countries and leave them in ruins. BRICS is willing to trade and invest, it is easy to predict whom will people choose.

West wanted globalism, but now when other nations are rising and prospering, now globalism is bad, right.
